Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the 2024 general election. [1] The constituency name refers to the town of Shirley and the western areas of the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull. [2] This is part of a boundary review that will result in the borough being split into three. [3]
