Sony Music Entertainment Mexico is a Mexican record label, and the regional Sony Music subsidiary in Mexico. It is one of the most important labels in Mexico along with Universal Music Mexico and Warner Music Mexico.
During the early sixties, the American companies RCA Victor and CBS Records (today RCA and Columbia Records) arrived in Mexico, CBS founded "Discos CBS de México" and RCA created "RCA Victor Mexicana"; [1] both with the aim of manufacturing and distributing the vinyl of their Anglo-Saxon artists, as well as sealing and recording with Mexican artists. Both, along with other Mexican record companies of the time, were founding members of the Mexican Association of Phonograms and Videograms Producers (AMPROFON) in 1963, an association that certifies gold and platinum records in Mexico. Bertelsmann Music Group, bought Ariola Records and the American RCA, and with it, BMG Music Mexico was started. In 1987, the record label CBS Records was officially renamed as Columbia Records, and the company previously known as CBS Records was renamed Sony Music Entertainment, with this the Mexican label became. [3]
Around 2004, Sony Music Entertainment and BMG made a commercial alliance called Sony BMG, resulting from this alliance Sony BMG Entertainment Mexico, during this time Sony made artists like Reik, Julieta Venegas, Belinda, Natalia Lafourcade, Ha*Ash, Yuridia and Carlos Rivera, most of these still continuing on the label at the present time. Sony Music would end up buying BMG 4 years later in 2008 and with this the BMG catalogue, in addition to this, an image change would also be made internationally. Sony BMG Mexico would become Sony Music Entertainment Mexico in charge of the Argentine businessman Roberto López in 2009, [5] today being one of the most important labels, at this time the Primera Fila format emerged, the alliances for soundtracks for Netflix, such as those of Roma, Luis Miguel: The Series and Rebelde, [6] [7] [8] and the alliance with the company BOBO Producciones for the physical release of the 90's Pop Tour projects. Arista Records is an American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America, the North American division of the Japanese conglomerate Sony. The label was previously handled by BMG Entertainment, the North American division of German conglomerate Bertelsmann. Though the label was founded in November 1974 by Clive Davis, Arista in its current form was re-established in 2018. Along with Epic Records, RCA Records, and Columbia Records, Arista is one of Sony Music's four flagship record labels.

Yuridia Francisca Gaxiola Flores, commonly known as Yuridia, is a Mexican singer. She came in second place in the fourth season of the reality show La Academia, which launched her career. In 2005, Yuridia released her debut album La Voz de un Ángel. It became the second best-selling album in 2006 and one of the fastest-selling albums of all time in Mexico. It has been certified Diamond since its release. Her second album, Habla El Corazón was certified Platinum in Mexico after a few weeks of release. Entre Mariposas, Yuridia's third album with original songs, was released in late 2007. It was certified gold selling more than 50,000 copies within the first week of being released, peaking at number one position in the top selling charts.
Loris Ceroni is a musician and record producer who resides in Riolo Terme, Ravenna, Italy. He was educated at Pesaro's Conservatoire where he earned a degree in the contrabass. From childhood he was very fond of music. After great success as a record producer in Latin America and the United States, has opened LE DUNE RECORDING STUDIO where he works for the biggest Latin American and Italian singers such as: Reyli Barba, OV7, Alejandra Guzmán, Fey, Xana and others, there are collaborations with leading Italian artists such as Anna Oxa, Quintorigo, John De Leo and Dio della Love. Currently, Loris is working and collaborating for multinationals such as Sony Music, Universal, Warner, BMG.

The Top 100 México contains over 100 titles sold in the country, with separate charts that include 20 albums for popular music genres, such as norteño, banda and ranchera, Spanish, and English language albums.
CD9 was a Mexican boy band formed in 2013. The original line-up consisted of William Valdés, Freddy Leyva, Alan Navarro, Jos Canela, and Alonso Villalpando. William Valdés left the group in October 2013 and was replaced by Bryan Mouque, whereas Jos Canela worked as the group's leader until his departure in May 2019.

Lafourcade spent three years writing the songs and searching for inspiration in different cities, resulting in songs that express very personal feelings regarding love. The record was produced by Lafourcade, with the assistance of Argentinian musician Cachorro López and Mexican artist Leonel García.

A Tiempo is the fourth studio album by American Latin pop duo Ha*Ash. It was released under the label Sony BMG on 16 May 2011. Recording sessions for the album was over a period of almost a year between Los Angeles, California and Milan, Italia. A Tiempo is a primarily a synth-pop sound and electric album, consisting mainly of stripped down instruments such as the synthesizers, piano and acoustic guitar.
