History

South Africa won the 2022 Baseball5 African Championship held in Dar es Salaam, finishing the tournament with a perfect 7–0 record and defeating Kenya in the final, 2 games to 0, winning the gold medal. South Africa qualified to the 2022 Baseball5 World Cup held in Mexico City as African champions. [2]

South Africa finished fifth in their group in the World Cup opening round with a 2–3 record and won all the placement round games to finish the tournament with an overall record of 5–3, ranking seventh. [3]
