The Spouse of the Prime Minister of Mauritius is the title given to the wife or husband of the Prime Minister of Mauritius. To date it has been held by only 5 women, Kobita Jugnauth held the title of spouse of the Prime Minister from 2017 to 2024. Veena Ramgoolam currently holds the title of spouse of the Prime Minister.

Public role

The role of the Prime Ministerial Consort is not an official office and as such they are not given a salary or official duties, however, is still generally regarded as a public figure, frequently accompanying the prime minister on campaign and other public appearances, and often hosting dignitaries at the prime minister's residence. The spouse of the Prime Minister of Mauritius frequently participates in humanitarian and charitable work.

Pravind Kumar Jugnauth is a Mauritian politician and former Prime Minister, succeeding, Aneerood Jugnauth, his father, who retired as leader of the majority in 2017. Following the victory of his, Alliance Morisien, coalition in 2019, he remained in office, eventually losing the 2024 Mauritian general election. Jugnauth is the leader of the Militant Socialist Movement (MSM) party. He has held a number of ministerial portfolios and also been Leader of the Opposition.

She was First Lady of Mauritius while her husband was in office of Governor General and Prime Minister of Mauritius from 1968 to 1982. Her son Dr Navin Ramgoolam has also been Prime Minister of Mauritius.
