Springfield is a town in Marquette County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 811 at the 2020 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.9 square miles (90.5 km2), of which, 34.6 square miles (89.6 km2) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.9 km2) of it (0.97%) is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 628 people, 273 households, and 188 families residing in the town. The population density was 18.1 people per square mile (7.0/km2). There were 542 housing units at an average density of 15.7 per square mile (6.0/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.29% White, 1.75% Native American, 0.48% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.27% of the population.
There were 273 households, out of which 25.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.0% were married couples living together, 2.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.1% were non-families. 27.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 2.82.
In the town, the population was spread out, with 19.9% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 33.4% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
