Mohotti Arachchilage Sriyani Kulawansha-Fonsekca is a retired Sri Lankan hurdler. Her personal best time was 12.91 seconds, achieved in the quarter-finals of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

Sri Lanka have participated in all but three Commonwealth Games since 1938, with the only ones missed being the 1954, 1974 and 1986 Games. Sri Lanka have won twenty medals at the Games, but had a 44-year medal drought spanning 1950 to 1994. Until 1974, Sri Lanka competed under the name Ceylon.

Manju Dinesh Kumara Wanniarachchi is a Sri Lankan amateur boxer. He won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the bantamweight category, defeating Sean McGoldrick in the final, but was later stripped of his medal after failing a drug test. He is an old boy of Vidyartha College, Kandy.

Sean McGoldrick is a Welsh professional boxer who has held the British and Commonwealth bantamweight titles since February 2023. As an amateur he was awarded the gold medal for the Bantamweight division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games

Anton Sudesh Peiris Kurukulasooriyage is a weightlifter from Sri Lanka. Kurukulasooriyage was born in Sandalankawa, Sri Lanka. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games he won a bronze medal in the 62 kg event. Kurukulasooriyage was also selected to be a part of Sri Lanka's 2014 Commonwealth Games team, where he was the flagbearer during the opening ceremony. Later he won a silver medal in the 62 kg event.

Matthew Duncan Abeysinghe is a competitive swimmer who has represented Sri Lanka at numerous international competitions, including the 2016 and 2020 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo respectively.

Kimiko Shihara Raheem is a Sri Lankan national swimmer who has represented her country at several international competitions. She represented her country at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She won multiple gold medals at the 2016 South Asian Games in the backstroke and freestyle events. She won the highest number of medals by a Sri Lankan woman at the 2016 South Asian Games in India, and was named Best Female Athlete of the Games by the Bangladesh Sports Press Association. She is the younger sister of Mayumi Raheem and Machiko Raheem both of whom hold national records themselves. She was a semi-finalist at the 100m backstroke event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She holds numerous Sri Lankan national records and South Asian records in her name.

Kyle Abeysinghe is a Sri Lankan national swimmer who has represented his country at several international competitions. Domestically, Abeysinghe holds numerous national records, has been a national champion multiple times, and is a member of the Killer Whale Aquatic Club, coached by his father, Manoj Abeysinghe. At the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games in Nassau, Bahamas, Abeysinghe won two silver medals in the 50m and 100m freestyle, becoming the only Sri Lankan swimmer to achieve this feat.

Dinusha Hansani Gomes, also known as Hansani Gomes, is a Sri Lankan female weightlifter. She was named as one of the members of the Sri Lankan contingent at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and claimed a bronze medal in the women's 48kg event on the opening day of the competition on 5 April 2018, which was also the second medal earned by Sri Lanka at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and was also the second medal secured by the Sri Lankan contingent in weightlifting category. Gomes also won Sri Lanka's first ever weightlifting medal by a woman at the Commonwealth Games.

Indika Chathuranga D. Dissanayake Mudiyanselage, also known as Indika Dissanayake, is a Sri Lankan male weightlifter. He competed in the 69 kg division at the Asian Games, South Asian Games and at the Commonwealth Games, and won silver medals at the 2016 South Asian Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games.
