Stand Up is the third Korean extended play by South Korean boy group Big Bang, it was released on August 8, 2008. [1] The EP sold over 140,000 copies by the end of the following month, [2] supported by the popularity of the number one hit single "Haru Haru". [3] The song became one of the most downloaded singles of all-time in South Korea. Star News named Stand Up one of the most successful digital albums since 2004. [4]

Background

Teasers for the album was released on August 1, including the announcement that Japanese DJ Daishi Dance had collaborated with the group on a song. [5] Released on August 8, 2008, the EP sold more than 30,000 copies in two days [6] and sold 100,000 copies in two weeks. [7] Stand Up was the number-one album of the month for August 2008, becoming the group's first monthly number-one album in South Korea. [8] It eventually sold over 168,000 copies by 2016.

<i>Hot</i> (EP) 2008 EP by Taeyang

Hot is the debut extended play (EP) by South Korean singer Taeyang, a member of boy group Big Bang under YG Entertainment. It was released through YG Entertainment on May 22, 2008, as Taeyang's debut as a solo artist. Two singles were spawned from the EP—"Only Look at Me" featuring Teddy Park and "Prayer". It was the best-selling album of May 2008 with it being ranked at number 1 on the MIAK monthly album chart. Hot was well received by music critics, with the record winning two Korean Music Awards as well as Soribada naming it one of the best albums of the 2000s decade.

<i>Saldaga</i> Album by SG Wannabe

Saldaga is the second studio album by South Korean vocal group SG Wannabe, released through Mnet Media on March 23, 2005. The record spawned two number one singles: "Sin and Punishment", which received numerous awards both for the music video and for the song itself, and "Saldaga". Like its predecessor, "Saldaga" was able to attract media attention for the group's vocal ability, thus SG Wannabe became the only artist in 2005 to sell more than 400,000 copies of their album. The album has sold 485,926 copies.

George Han Kim, better known by his Korean name, Johan Kim (Korean: 김조한), is a Korean-American singer and record producer. He is a member of South Korean R&B/hip hop trio Solid. His song "I Want To Fall In Love" has become a mega-hit throughout the country of South Korea. He founded the girl group Unicorn.
