Overview

The Trailseeker was introduced on April 16, 2025. [2] [3] [4] It is a larger version of the Solterra. It is powered by a 75 kWh battery pack with standard dual motor all-wheel drive (AWD). Like the Solterra, the Trailseeker's AWD system includes driving modes for Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud. It is also equipped with hill descent control and 8.3 inches (210 mm) of ground clearance. Towing capacity is rated at 3,500 pounds (1,590 kg).

Compared to the Solterra, the Trailseeker is 6 inches (150 mm) longer, nearly 1 inch (25 mm) taller for additional cargo space and has standard roof rails. For the exterior, the Trailseeker debuts Subaru's new EV lighting signature with a six-star illuminated logo on the front fascia, a differentiated front fascia design with redesigned headlights, and new 18 to 20-inch alloy wheel designs, and a 3D SUBARU lettering and rear gate garnish on the rear fascia.

Inside, it features a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, the largest sized touchscreen ever offered in a Subaru vehicle. There are two 15W wireless smartphone chargers upfront and two fast USB-C chargers for the rear occupants.

The cruising range is estimated at 260 miles (420 km), which is slightly less than the 2026 Solterra (285 miles (459 km). A standard NACS charge port allows for recharging at Tesla Supercharger stations, and the maximum DC charging rate is 150 kW.

All Trailseeker models are equipped with a suite of EyeSight driver-assistance suite which includes: Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitors, Emergency Stop Assist, Front Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Alert, a panoramic view monitor, Pre-Collision Braking and Traffic Jam Assist.
