T'Vondre Sweat (born July 11, 2001) is an American professional football nose tackle for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas, winning the Outland Trophy and receiving unanimous All-American honors in 2023.
Sweat was born on July 11, 2001. [1] He attended Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Texas, where he played basketball and football. [2] He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Texas. [3]
Sweat played in all 13 of Texas's games as a freshman. [4] He recorded 22 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass broken up with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a sophomore. [5] Sweat had 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack during his junior season. [6] As a senior he was named honorable mention All-Big 12 Conference after finishing the year with 30 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, and four passes defended. [7] In 2023, Sweat won the Outland Trophy and was named a unanimous All-American on a defensive line that also included Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year winner Byron Murphy II. [8] [9]

Sweat was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round with the 38th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. [13]
Sweat made an early impact as the Titans' primary nose tackle for the 2024 season, making his NFL debut on Week 1 against the Chicago Bears. [14] [15] He made his first career sack against C.J. Stroud on a Week 12 road win against the Houston Texans. [16] Later during Week 15's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Sweat recorded his first forced fumble and fumble recovery, stripping the ball from quarterback Joe Burrow and making a wildly celebrated 30 yard return. On April 7, 2024, Sweat was arrested in Austin, Texas for DWI. He was released from jail on a $3,000 bond. [19]
John Nathan Henderson, nicknamed "Big John" or "Big Hen", is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers and was a two-time consensus All-American. The Jacksonville Jaguars chose him in the first round of the 2002 NFL draft, and he was selected for the Pro Bowl twice. He also played for the Oakland Raiders.
Jason Thomas Babin is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft.
