TVW is Washington's public affairs network, [1] providing gavel-to-gavel coverage of Washington State Legislature sessions and coverage of the Washington State Supreme Court and public affairs events. It is widely considered the model state level equivalent of C-SPAN. TVW was founded in 1993 by Stan Marshburn and Denny Heck, who was formerly Chief of Staff to Governor Booth Gardner, who served as the host of TVW show Inside Olympia , and who would later represent Washington in the United States House of Representatives, after which he would go on to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of the state. The channel is available via cable throughout Washington state, and as a subchannel on Tacoma PBS member station KBTC.

In 2017 TVW partnered with Central Washington University to add live and recorded "world-class speakers and cultural events" to its programming. [3]

The Florida Channel Florida government-access TV network

The Florida Channel is a government-access television network operated by Florida State University's WFSU-TV and the Florida State Legislature. The channel is currently carried by 46 cable TV systems throughout the State of Florida either on a part-time or full-time basis as well as through up to 18 live Internet streams and via satellite. The station operates 24 hours a day though its normal broadcast schedule starts at 6:00 a.m. ET and ends at 6:00 p.m. ET with the day's programming repeated in a loop throughout the night. The Florida Channel also airs on the digital subchannels of most Florida PBS member stations and on some public independent and local cable-only stations.

General elections were held in the U.S. state of Washington on November 3, 2020. A primary was held on August 4. This election cycle is notable as it was only the second in state history in which Democrats won the top three statewide elections by double digits. The first was the 1936 election, in the middle of the Great Depression.

Inside Olympia is a weekly Washington State public affairs TV show on the TVW network that began airing in 1998. The show features in-depth, one-on-one interviews and panel discussions with major figures in Washington State government and public affairs, including state governors, executive cabinet-level agency leaders, state legislators, and labor union leaders.
