Tampere is a city in the Pirkanmaa region, located in the western part of Finland. Tampere is the most populous inland city in the Nordic countries; it has a population of 244,029 with the urban area holding 341,696 people and the metropolitan area, also known as the Tampere sub-region, holding 393,941 inhabitants in an area of 4,970 km2 (1,920 sq mi). Tampere is the second-largest urban area and third most-populous individual municipality in Finland, after the cities of Helsinki and Espoo and the most populous Finnish city outside the Greater Helsinki area, within which both Helsinki and Espoo are located. Today, Tampere is one of the major urban, economic, and cultural hubs in the whole inland region.
Tappara is a Finnish professional ice hockey team playing in the Liiga. They play at Tampere Deck Arena in Tampere, Finland. The team has won 14 Finnish league championships. The team continued the traditions of TBK, who won three national championships in a row in 1953, 1954 and 1955.
Tampere Ice Stadium is an indoor sports arena in Tampere, Finland. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and it was the former home arena of Ilves and Tappara of the Finnish Liiga, until after the matches both teams played in November 2021, they moved to play the following matches in the new Nokia Arena. Today, the Ice Stadium is currently in use by the Koovee team.
The 2022 IIHF World Championship will be hosted by Finland from 13 to 29 May 2022 as the IIHF announced on 19 May 2017. The host cities of the World Chahmpionships are Tampere and Helsinki, of which Tampere's brand-new Nokia Arena will serve as the main venue of the games.
Kuuma koira is a fast food dish created in the 1960s in the Finnish city of Nokia. The term Kuuma koira is Finnish for "Hot dog", but the ingredients differ so much that Kuuma koira is completely different dish. The dish is not well known outside Pirkanmaa region, but Nokia holds an annual International Kuuma koira day in March to celebrate the cuisine. Thousands of Kuuma koiras are eaten at the local grills on that date.
Tuomas Turriago is a Finnish composer, pianist and conductor. Since 2004 Turriago has served as senior lecturer in accompaniment at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. He is recognized as the first Finnish composer to record his entire piano oeuvre.
Framery Oy is a Finnish company, established in 2010 in Tampere, that manufactures furniture, soundproof phonebooths, work spaces and pods for offices, airports, and other business and public environments. It was the first company to commercialize phonebooths and sell them internationally. In 2020 its global market share was around 30%.

Särkänniemi is a district of the city centre of Tampere, Finland, located on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi, north of the districts of Amuri and Finlayson. The most famous sights of the district are Näsinneula and Särkänniemi Amusement Park, but in addition to that, the district also houses the Haarla's old paper mill building. The Amuri railway stop has also ceased operations in Särkänniemi. The Särkänniemi district also includes the Siilinkari islet in Lake Näsijärvi. Särkänniemi is bordered on the south by Paasikivenkatu, on the other side of which is the Amuri district, and on the west by the Santalahti district. The district includes the Onkiniemi residential area.
Tampere Day is an annual celebration in Finland, held on October 1, to celebrate the city of Tampere; on that date, Tampere was granted full city rights in 1779. Tampere Day has been celebrated since 1955, when the decision to celebrate Tampere Day was made by the city government in 1954. Tampere Day is associated with many events where the city's agencies and institutions, as well as many companies, associations and communities, present their activities. The program also includes guided tours, among other things. In addition, the city will host an official gala reception for invited guests at the Tampere City Hall.
Erika Vikman is a Finnish singer and songwriter. Beginning her career as a Finnish tango singer, Vikman first received recognition after winning Tangomarkkinat in 2016. She later received further nationwide attention following the release of the single "Cicciolina" in 2020, which became her first top five hit in Finland.

A special feature of the center is mentioned that the city services and commercial services operate in the same building. The first two floors have specialty shops for fashion and leisure, as well as cafés and restaurants. The top floor of the shopping center houses the public services of the city of Tampere: a library, a health center, a dental clinic, a maternity and children's clinic, as well as a service center for the elderly and a day center. There is a total of about 13,200 square meters of business and service space. About 90% of the space has been leased in the opening phase.
Näsilinna is a neo-baroque palace on Näsikallio in Tampere, Finland. It was built by Peter von Nottbeck, son of Wilhelm von Nottbeck, a St. Petersburg-based industrial manager of Finlayson. The original name of the palace, completed in 1898, was Milavida. The building was designed by architect Karl August Wrede. The true meaning and history of the name Milavida is unknown.

Tuomiokirkonkatu is a north–south street located in the center of Tampere, Finland, which runs through the districts of Jussinkylä and Kyttälä. The street is about a kilometer long. In the north it ends at Lapintie, in the south Vuolteenkatu. In Kyttälä, part of Tuomiokirkonkatu has been turned into a pedestrian street. In the future, the pedestrian section will be expanded so that it will eventually extend south from Kyttälänkatu to Suvantokatu and the Sori Square.
Pyynikinrinne is a district of Tampere, Finland. It is located west of the city center. Pyynikinrinne is bordered on the south by the Pyynikki Esker nature reserve, on the north by Pirkankatu and on the east by Mariankatu. The western boundary of the district is the former border between Tampere and Pohjois-Pirkkala municipalities. The neighboring parts of the city are Pyynikki, Ylä-Pispala, Amuri, partly Särkänniemi and Kaakinmaa.
Paasikiven–Kekkosentie, or Rantaväylä, is a busy car traffic route located in Tampere, Finland, which serves as a regional transit road and a significant access route to the city center. It is a four-lane highway owned by the Finnish state and part of Highway 12. Paasikiven–Kekkosentie is located between the Nokia's motorway and the Teiskontie street junction.
The Tampere Police Station is a police station located in the Ratina district in Tampere, Finland, and also the administrative center of the Central Finland Police Department. The police station is also used by the Finnish Security Intelligence Service (SUPO). There are about 400 police officers working there and about 50 others. The police station consists of two buildings located near the Tampere Bus Station along the Hatanpää Highway and Sorinkatu streets; due to this, in Tampere colloquially, the police station and its surroundings are also known as Sori by locals.

Åkerlundinkatu is a street in the Tulli district of central Tampere, Finland, running east to west with a total length of about 25 metres. Its eastern end is located in front of the Tampere Hall at the intersection with Yliopistonkatu, while the western end is located next to the old locomotive stables at the intersection with Ratapihankatu. Other intersecting streets include Pinninkatu, Hammareninkatu and Sumeliuksenkatu.
