The Cedars, also known as Ardis House or Atkinson House, is a house in Beech Island, South Carolina. [2] [3] It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [1]

Mebane is a city located mostly in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States, and partly in Orange County. The town was named for Alexander Mebane, an American Revolutionary War general and member of the U.S. Congress. It was incorporated as "Mebanesville" in 1881, and in 1883 the name was changed to "Mebane". It was incorporated as a city in 1987. The population as of the 2010 census was 11,393. Mebane is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in North Carolina. Mebane straddles the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad Regions of North Carolina. The bulk of the city is in Alamance County, which comprises the Burlington Metropolitan Statistical Area, itself a component of the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point Combined Statistical Area. Two slivers in the eastern portion of the city are in Orange County, which is part of the Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Area, itself a component of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Combined Statistical Area.
The Hunting Island Light is located in Hunting Island State Park on Hunting Island near Beaufort, South Carolina. Although no longer used as a functioning lighthouse, the tower is a fixture at the state park and is open to visitors. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Skylands is a 1,119-acre (4.53 km2) estate property located in Ringwood State Park in Ringwood, New Jersey, a borough in Passaic County in the state of New Jersey. The Skylands property consists of the historic Skylands Manor mansion, The Castle at Skylands Manor and the New Jersey Botanical Garden; the botanical garden is 96 acres (390,000 m2) and it is open to the public year-round. The Charles Pinckney National Historic Site is a unit of the United States National Park Service, preserving a portion of Charles Pinckney's Snee Farm plantation and country retreat. The site is located at 1254 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Pinckney (1757-1824) was a member of a prominent political family in South Carolina. He fought in the American Revolutionary War, was held for a period as prisoner in the North, and returned to the state in 1783. Pinckney served as a delegate to the constitutional convention where he contributed to drafting the United States Constitution.

Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site is a state park in South Carolina, United States. Redcliffe Plantation, also known as Redcliffe, completed in 1859, is a Greek Revival plantation house located on the site that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was designed by the baron Louis Berckmans and was built in 1857. It was built for James Henry Hammond and was home to three generations of his descendants. His great-grandson John Shaw Billings, editor of Time, Life, and Fortune magazines, donated the estate and collections to the people of South Carolina in 1973. The same year it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Rear Lighthouse of Hilton Head Range Light Station, which is also called Leamington Lighthouse is an inactive light station on Hilton Head Island in Beaufort County, South Carolina. In 1983, it was named to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Blocker House is a historic plantation house located near Edgefield, Edgefield County, South Carolina built circa 1790 by John Blocker, Sr. It is a two-story, clapboard dwelling with a one-story shed-roofed porch supported by four square columns. The property includes centuries old magnolia and cedar trees, a family cemetery, and several outbuildings.
The Zubly Cemetery near Beech Island, South Carolina, which is a small community in Aiken County, South Carolina was established around 1790 by Swiss settlers of the nearby New Windsor Township. It illustrates the vernacular burial customs of the period. The town of New Windsor, settled in 1737, eventually became an outpost for Indian traders. Zubly Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 28, 2002.
Oakland Plantation, also known as the Wade Glover House, is a historic plantation home located near Beech Island, Aiken County, South Carolina. It was built in 1824–1826, and is a Carolina I-house with minimal mid-19th century and early-20th century additions and alterations. It has a central hall two-over-two floor plan with gable-end chimneys, one-story gallery on the facade, and shed room on the rear elevation. Also on the property are two contributing outbuildings: a frame one-story gable-end dairy house and a frame one-story gable-end garage.
Cedar Grove is a historic plantation house located near Edgefield, Edgefield County, South Carolina. It was built between 1790 and 1805, and is a large two-story, Federal style house with a white clapboard exterior and high gable roof. It features a double-tiered portico with delicate Adamesque detail. This home has many unusual architectural features including a barrel-vaulted hallway, elaborately carved mantelpieces, and the right front parlor retains an early hand-painted French wallpaper.
