In October 2010, Elton John embarked on a short tour of the United States with Leon Russell to promote their new album The Union . [1] The pair also made an appearance on the BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms in London, England. [2] They also appeared at T-Bone Burnett's Speaking Clock Revue. Their performance of "Monkey Suit" is included on T Bone Burnett Presents: The Speaking Clock Revue which was released in late 2011. [3]

The Union is a collaboration studio album by singer-songwriters Elton John and Leon Russell, released on 19 October 2010 in the US and on 25 October in the UK. This is John's second collaboration album, after 1993's Duets. This is the first studio release by John since 1979's Victim of Love without any of his regular band members. It is also his highest charting studio album on the Billboard 200 since 1976's Blue Moves, debuting at No. 3, as well as Russell's highest charting studio album since 1972's Carney. The Union was No. 3 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 30 Best Albums of 2010.

Elton John and his band set out on The One Tour just under a month prior to the album's release. The album proved a big success as did the world tour which lasted for two years.

After the huge success of the previous year's Face to Face concerts Billy Joel and Elton John set out on the road again. They only reunited for twelve concerts visiting both the United States and Canada. They played from California down to Florida covering eight states and also Toronto.

Riding on the success of their previous two tours, Elton John and Billy Joel once again hit the stadiums in 1998. The production had previously only toured the United States and Canada, but this time they visited Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe, avoiding any North American cities.
