Truro Trehaverne (Cornish: Truru Tregavran) [1] is an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom and returns one member to sit on Cornwall Council. The current Councillor is David Harris, a Conservative and the deputy leader of the Conservative group on the council. [2]

Extent

Truro Trehaverne covers the west and north west of the city of Truro, including the suburbs of Treliske (but not the Royal Cornwall Hospital complex), Kenwyn and parts of Highertown (which is shared with the Truro Redannick division). [3] The division covers 334 hectares in total. [4]

The seat was vacant from February 2020 to May 2021, after the Conservative councillor Cherilyn Mackrory was elected as MP for Truro and Falmouth in the 2019 general election. The coronavirus pandemic meant that a by-election could not be held and so the seat remained vacant until it was abolished at the 2021 local elections, being replaced by St Mewan and Grampound.
