Redruth Central was an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom which returned one member to sit on Cornwall Council between 2009 and 2021. It was abolished at the 2021 local elections, becoming part of the new larger division of Redruth Central, Carharrack and St Day. [1]

Extent

The division covered the centre of Redruth as well as Mount Ambrose and the village of Treskerby. [2] [3] The division was separated from Redruth North between Falmouth Road and the Hillside industrial estate near Scorrier by the railway line. [3] It was separated from Redruth South by Falmouth Road, Treruffe Hill and Raymond Road. [3]

Between 2009 and 2013, the division covered 252 hectares (620 acres); [4] its size increased to 290 hectares (720 acres) at the 2013 election due to boundary changes. [5]
