Mount Ambrose is a northeastern suburb of Redruth in west Cornwall, England. [1] It falls within Redruth Central division on Cornwall Council, [2]

The suburb is 239.48 miles (385.41 km) west from the centre of London, 7.33 miles (11.80 km) west from the centre of Truro, 11.98 miles (19.28 km) east from the centre of St Ives, Cornwall and 13.05 miles (21.00 km) southwest from the centre of Newquay.

Redruth lies approximately at the junction of the A393 and A3047 roads, on the route of the old London to Land's End trunk road, and is approximately 9 miles (14 km) west of Truro, 12 miles (19 km) east of St Ives, 18 miles (29 km) north east of Penzance and 11 miles (18 km) north west of Falmouth. Redruth RFC is a rugby union club from the town of Redruth, Cornwall, currently playing in the fourth tier of the English league system, National League 2 South. The club runs a number of men's teams including 1st XV, 2nd XV, Colts and a Select XV as well as a number of junior teams from age 7 through to 16. They are one of the most successful club sides in Cornwall, having won the Cornwall Cup 10 times and the Cornwall Super Cup 3 times, and are currently the second highest ranked club side behind the Cornish Pirates. Redruth enjoys a strong a rivalry with neighbours Camborne, with the two clubs meeting annually, in what is the world’s longest enduring rugby fixture.

Mount Ambrose Cricket Club is a Cornish cricket club based in Mount Ambrose, Redruth. They are currently members of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Cornwall Cricket League and are ECB Clubmark affiliated. The side have two senior teams, both of which play in the Cornwall Cricket League. The club also fields a social Sunday team as well as mid-week T20 evening league side, that play in the Cornwall Cricket Mining Division. Mount Ambrose CC are also a registered ECB All Stars Cricket and Dynamos centre, which coaches children the sport from ages 5 and above.
