Camborne Roskear (Cornish: Kammbronn Resker) [3] was an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom which returned one member to sit on Cornwall Council between 2013 and 2021. It was abolished at the 2021 local elections, being succeeded by Camborne Roskear and Tuckingmill.

Camborne Roskear represented the north of the town of Camborne, as well as the area of Treverno and part of Tuckingmill (which is shared with the Pool and Tehidy and Camborne Trelowarren divisions). The division covered 186 hectares in total. [4]

Tuckingmill is a village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, which is in the civil parish of Camborne. Tucking Mill was the Cornish term for a fulling mill which was where homespun cloth was dipped, cleansed and dressed. There is a mention of a fulling mill in this region as early as 1250. The ecclesiastical parish of Tuckingmill was constituted in 1845, being carved out of a western section of the parish of Illogan and an eastern section of Camborne parish. It covers 1,300 acres (5.3 km2).

Pengegon is a residential area east of Camborne, Cornwall, England, which has a fish and chip shop, a playground and memorial to local teen Shakira Pellow. From 2013 to 2021, Pengegon was included in the Camborne Treslothan division on Cornwall Council. After boundary changes at the 2021 local elections, it was placed in the new Four Lanes, Beacon and Troon division.

2013 Cornwall Council election

The Cornwall Council election, 2013, was an election for all 123 seats on the council. Cornwall Council is a unitary authority that covers the majority of the ceremonial county of Cornwall, with the exception of the Isles of Scilly which have an independent local authority. The elections took place concurrently with other local elections across England and Wales.

Truro and Newquay was a proposed parliamentary constituency in Cornwall. It was planned to take effect from the election in May 2022 before the 2019 general election but the Parliamentary Constituencies (Amendment) Bill was not passed. Electoral Calculus predicted that the new seat would have been a fairly safe Conservative win, with 51.3% of the predicted vote. It was predicted to have 74,228 constituents. The seat was scrapped after the government halted the re-drawing in 2020, saying that the "change in policy" had been brought about due to the UK's exit from the EU.

The 2021 Cornwall Council election took place on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 United Kingdom local elections. It was contested under new division boundaries as the number of seats on the council falls from 123 to 87.
