Usicayos District is one of ten districts of the Carabaya Province in Peru. [1]

Geography

One of the highest elevations of the district is Ch'uspini at approximately 5,000 m (16,000 ft). Other mountains are listed below: [2]

Ethnic groups

The people in the district are predominantly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (96.96%) learnt to speak in childhood, while 2.84% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish (2007 Peru Census). [3]
