Utricularia georgei is an annual terrestrial carnivorous plant that belongs to the genus Utricularia (family Lentibulariaceae). It is endemic to northern Western Australia. [1]

Alphonse Pyrame de Candolle originally described and published this section in 1844. In his 1986 monograph on the genus, Peter Taylor reorganized the genus and reduced this to the rank of section.
