VVV-Venlo [1] is a Dutch women's football from Venlo. The team was founded in 2010, [2] starting in the Eredivisie season 2010/11. The club is working together with SV Venray who is playing in the Hoofdklasse. [3]

Since 2011 VVV is working together with a German club FCR 2001 Duisburg. [4]

VVV-Venlo decided to stop playing in the Vrouwen Eredivisie/BeNe League. Owing to the number of qualitative good female players in the Netherlands they foresee a team with insufficient quality. All the players shall return in the competition in the newly formed team of FCE/PSV in the new season. [5] [6]

The Vrouwen Eredivisie, also known as the Pure Energie Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a sponsor contract until the 2023–2024 season, is the highest professional women's football league in the Netherlands. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) it was established in 2007 and then played for five seasons until 2012 when the leagues of the Netherlands and Belgium merged forming a single combined league. After three seasons the BeNe League folded and the Eredivisie was restarted in the 2015–16 season. The league winner receives a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Annemieke Kiesel

Annemieke Kiesel is a former Dutch footballer and coach. She played for clubs in the Netherlands, United States, England and Germany, winning titles with Dutch and German clubs. She also played for the Dutch national team between 1995 and 2011, retiring with 156 caps, making her the player with the second most appearances for the Dutch national team of all time. Following her playing career, she took on coaching and has worked either as assistant coach or as head coach.

FC Utrecht (women) Dutch womens football (soccer) club

FC Utrecht Vrouwen was the women's football section of Dutch club FC Utrecht based in Utrecht. Established in 2007, as one of the founding members of the professional Dutch women's football league the team competed in the league from its inaugural season (2007–08) until 2011–12 and the BeNe League from 2012–13 until the team's dissolution in January 2014. The club won the Dutch Cup once and the Dutch Super Cup once.

The 2012–13 season of the Women's BeNe League was the first season of the Belgium and the Netherlands' women's football top level league. Since this was the first season, the league had no reigning champion, although both countries had reigning champions from their former top leagues—Standard Liège in Belgium and ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands. The season started on 24 August 2012. The championship was won by FC Twente.

Willem II Vrouwen was the women's football section of Willem II football club from Tilburg, the Netherlands. They were founder members of the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2007. In February 2011 Willem II announced they were withdrawing support for their women's section, for financial reasons.

Roda JC Vrouwen was the women's football section of Roda JC football club from Kerkrade, Netherlands. They wanted to join the Women's Eredivisie the year it was erected but did not get permission by the KNVB. On 1 March 2008 Roda JC announced that the next season they shall join the 2008-09 season.
