Veluwe Quarter was one of the four quarters in the Duchy of Guelders, besides Quarter of Zutphen, Upper Quarter and Nijmegen Quarter. Veluwe Quarter had Arnhem as its capital and included the Veluwe area. The main cities were Elburg, Hattem, Harderwijk and Wageningen. Its location was west of the river IJssel and north of the river Rhine.

The Union of Utrecht was a treaty signed on 23 January 1579 in Utrecht, Netherlands, unifying the northern provinces of the Netherlands, until then under the control of Habsburg Spain.
Arnhem is a city and municipality situated in the eastern part of the Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of Gelderland and located on both banks of the rivers Nederrijn and Sint-Jansbeek, which was the source of the city's development. Arnhem had a population of 159,265 in 2019 and is one of the larger cities of the Netherlands. The municipality is part of the Arnhem–Nijmegen metropolitan area which has a combined 736,500 inhabitants.
Overijssel is a province of the Netherlands located in the eastern part of the country. The province's name translates to "across the IJssel", from the perspective of the Episcopal principality of Utrecht by which it was held until 1528. The capital city of Overijssel is Zwolle and the largest city is Enschede. The province had a population of 1,162,215 as of November 2019.
Gelderland, also known as Guelders in English, is a province of the Netherlands, occupying the centre-east of the country. Wageningen is a municipality and a historic town in the central Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. It is famous for Wageningen University, which specialises in life sciences. The municipality had a population of 38,774 in 2019, of which many thousands are students from over 150 countries.
Hattem is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The municipality had a population of 12,173 in 2019. The municipality includes the hamlet of 't Zand.
The Oostvaardersplassen is a nature reserve in the Netherlands, which is managed by the State Forestry Service. Covering about 56 square kilometres (22 sq mi), it is noted as an experiment of rewilding. It is in a polder which was created in 1968; by 1989, its ecological interest had resulted in its being declared a Ramsar wetland. It became part of Nieuw Land National Park when it was created in 2018.
The Veluwe is a forest-rich ridge of hills (1100 km2) in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The Veluwe features many different landscapes, including woodland, heath, some small lakes and Europe's largest sand drifts.
West-Veluws is a Veluws dialect from the Dutch province of Gelderland. This dialect is spoken in different villages on the west side of the Veluwe and some villages on border of Gelderland and Utrecht. Sometimes even the dialect of Huizen in North Holland is seen as West-Veluws.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park is a Dutch national park in the province of Gelderland near the cities of Ede, Wageningen, Arnhem and Apeldoorn. It is approximately 55 km2 in area, consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands. It is situated in the Veluwe, the area of the largest terminal moraine in the Netherlands. Most of the landscape of the park and the Veluwe was created during the last Ice Age. The alternating sand dune areas and heathlands may have been caused by human utilization of the surrounding lands. The park forms one of the largest continuous nature reserves in the Netherlands.
The Eem is a river in the central Netherlands with a length of approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi).
Velp is a Dutch village located East to Arnhem within the municipality of Rheden, located between Arnhem, Rozendaal, and the town of Rheden. The population is 17,669 (2005). The town of Velp covers an area of approximately 11.01 square kilometres (4.25 sq mi).
Oost-Veluws is one of the main dialects of Veluws and is therefore related to West-Veluws and Sallaans. It is spoken in the Dutch province Gelderland. However, it is quite rare to come across a native speaker of "Oost-Veluws", as few people actually still speak this dialect.
The Museonder is a Dutch museum in the De Hoge Veluwe National Park The museum focuses on the geology and biology of the Veluwe and calls itself the world's first fully underground museum. The name "Museonder" is a portmanteau of the Dutch words for "museum" and "under", respectively "museum" and "onder".
Upper Guelders or Spanish Guelders was one of the four quarters in the Imperial Duchy of Guelders. In the Dutch Revolt, it was the only quarter that did not secede from the Habsburg Monarchy to become part of the Seven United Netherlands, but remained under Spanish rule during the Eighty Years' War.
The Parel van de Veluwe is a women's and men's amateur road bicycle race in the Netherlands, established in 1985.
AZSV is an amateur football club from Aalten, Netherlands. It was formed on 5 June 1948 and it plays home games at "Sportpark Villekamp". It plays in red jerseys with white shorts and white socks.
The Nijmegen Quarter was the first of the four quarters in which the county, later duchy of Guelders was divided, as they were separated by rivers. In addition Guelders consisted of Zutphen Quarter, the Upper Quarter and Veluwe Quarter. Each quarter had its own capital.
