The Welsh Football League Challenge Cup (known for a time as the Nathaniel Car Sales League Cup for sponsorship reasons, and not to be confused with the national Welsh League Cup) was a knock-out competition for all members of the divisions that make up the Welsh Football League in south Wales.

Carmarthen Town's first trophy was the Welsh Football League Cup, which they won in the 1995–96 season. Since then the club have gone on to win the Welsh Cup once and the Welsh League Cup twice. They have also qualified for UEFA competitions on four occasions.

Founded in 1899 as Riverside A.F.C., the club changed its name to Cardiff City in 1908 and entered the Southern Football League in 1910 before joining the English Football League in 1920. The Welsh Premier League Cup is a cup competition in Welsh football organised by the Welsh Premier League. Taff's Well Association Football Club are a Welsh association football team founded in 1946. They are based in Taff's Well, near Cardiff, and are currently playing in the Cymru South. They play at the Rhiw'r Ddar stadium. The first team is managed by Lee Kendall and the Club has an Academy with over 200 players.
