West Jacksonport is a small unincorporated community located in Door County, Wisconsin. The community is located at the intersection of County Highway V and County Highway T, in the center of the Door Peninsula, in the town of Jacksonport. [1] [2]

Wisconsin Highway 57 is a 191.82-mile-long (308.70 km) state highway in Wisconsin, United States. It runs from its southern terminus at Wisconsin Highway 59 in Milwaukee to its northern terminus at Wisconsin Highway 42 in Sister Bay. Much of WIS 57 parallels Interstate 43 (I-43) and WIS 42, particularly from Saukville to its northern terminus in Sister Bay. The highway is concurrent with I-43 for 12 miles (19 km) in Ozaukee County. Like most Wisconsin state highways, WIS 57 is maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).

Thomas Reynolds was an Irish American immigrant, farmer, and Republican politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Door County during the 1907 and 1909 sessions. He was the father of John W. Reynolds, Sr.—the 26th attorney general of Wisconsin—and the grandfather of John W. Reynolds, Jr.—a federal judge and the 36th governor of Wisconsin.
The climate of Door County, Wisconsin is tempered by Green Bay and Lake Michigan. There are fewer extremely cold days and fewer hot days than in areas of Wisconsin directly to the west. Lake waters delay the coming of spring as well as extend mild temperatures in the fall. Annual precipitation is slightly lower than elsewhere in northern Wisconsin. The county features a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold snowy winters.
