When the Morning Comes is the fourth album from Norwegian singer-songwriter Marit Larsen, and was released on 20 October 2014 in the Nordic countries by Warner Music Norway. On 27 March 2015, Sony Music Germany released the album in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. On 29 January 2016 it was released in the United States.

On 14 July 2014, Marit Larsen made the premiere of the single "I Don't Want to Talk About It" on NRK P3 radio. The single was released on 4 August on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and WiMP. The accompanying music video was released on her YouTube channel on 6 October. [9]

The re-release of the album by Sony Music Germany has an alternate album cover, and as "Deluxe Edition" 5 additional acoustic live tracks and 1 bonus track. The album produced four singles; "I Don't Want To Talk About It", "Faith & Science", "Please Don't Fall For Me" and "Traveling Alone". It gave Marit 2 number one songs in the Philippine Top 100 Songs Chart. Her non-single song "Before You Fell" managed to chart and stayed atop for 6 consecutive weeks which gave Marit her third number one song in the Philippines then replaced by "Please Don't Fall For Me" stayed atop for 2 non-consecutive weeks and became her fourth number one song in the chart.

Marit Elisabeth Larsen is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. She began playing violin aged five and played it until the age of eight. She gained international fame during her teenage years as a member of the pop duo M2M with childhood friend Marion Raven. She then pursued her own music career, releasing her debut solo album Under the Surface in 2006. Her second album, The Chase, was released in Norway in October 2008. Her third album, titled Spark was released in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland on 18 November 2011, and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 16 December 2011. Her fourth studio album When the Morning Comes was released on 20 October 2014. Larsen toured in its support within Norway with her own concerts, played songs from the album in Germany and Switzerland at public festivals and was the opening act at two of Johannes Oerding's concerts in November 2015.

M2M were a Norwegian pop duo comprising Marit Larsen and Marion Raven. Larsen and Raven had been friends since the age of five, and formed a music duo when they were eight. They released a children's album in 1996 when Larsen was 12 and Raven was 11, under the name "Marit & Marion". The album was nominated for a Spellemannprisen award and the band changed their name to M2M after signing a record deal with Atlantic Records in 1998. M2M were frequently praised for writing most of their songs and performing their own instruments, something which was considered to set them aside from the majority of teen pop music artists.

The album was originally catered for the German market, where her previous two albums had not been released, after the success of lead single "If a Song Could Get Me You" in the country. The album was announced on Marit Larsen's YouTube page and Maritlarsen.de. The album consists of her songs from her previous two albums Under the Surface and The Chase. In Brazil, a different version was released in December 2010.

The first single, "Coming Home" had premiered on NRK P3 and on her Facebook page on 15 October. The album produced two singles; "Coming Home" and "Don't Move". "Some Die Young" is a song by Swedish singer-songwriter Laleh, taken as the lead single from her fourth studio album, Sjung.
