Who Killed Gwen Reilly? is a graphic novel written by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, drawn by Frenz, and published by Marvel Comics 2 as the first volume of the American comic book series The Spectacular Spider-Girl Digital Comic , the third relaunch of the Spider-Girl series following Mayday Parker / Spider-Girl, the daughter of Peter Parker / Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson, following the 1998–2006 and 2006–2009 series. [2] [3] [4] [5] Published initially as backup stories in The Amazing Spider-Man Family and later by itself as the focus of The Spectacular Spider-Girl , The novel compiles two storylines: the four-issue Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man (2008–2009), following Peter and MJ over the time before Mayday was born, and the eight-issue Who Killed Gwen Reilly? (2009–2010), following Mayday facing the murder of Gwen Reilly, the apparent genetic daughter of Peter and Gwen Stacy (via his clone Ben Reilly and a clone of Gwen), as well as the arrival of Mayday's own clone, her 'sister' April Parker / Spider-Girl, and the return of the Green Goblin.

The series follows Mayday Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Girl, as she investigates the murder of Gwen Reilly, supposedly the daughter of Ben Reilly and Gwen Stacy, while dealing with the revival of her own clone, April Parker, and the return of her father's nemesis, the Green Goblin. [16] The series also includes Mr. & Mrs. Spider-Man, about Mayday's parents Peter and MJ shortly before having her.
