Who Killed Gwen Reilly? is a graphic novel written by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, drawn by Frenz, and published by Marvel Comics 2 as the first volume of the American comic book series The Spectacular Spider-Girl Digital Comic , the third relaunch of the Spider-Girl series following Mayday Parker / Spider-Girl, the daughter of Peter Parker / Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson, following the 1998–2006 and 2006–2009 series. [2] [3] [4] [5] Published initially as backup stories in The Amazing Spider-Man Family and later by itself as the focus of The Spectacular Spider-Girl , The novel compiles two storylines: the four-issue Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man (2008–2009), following Peter and MJ over the time before Mayday was born, and the eight-issue Who Killed Gwen Reilly? (2009–2010), following Mayday facing the murder of Gwen Reilly, the apparent genetic daughter of Peter and Gwen Stacy (via his clone Ben Reilly and a clone of Gwen), as well as the arrival of Mayday's own clone, her 'sister' April Parker / Spider-Girl, and the return of the Green Goblin.
