Willow Spring (or Willow Springs) is an unincorporated community in southeastern Wake, and western Johnston counties, North Carolina, United States, which is covered by a shared post office. [1] As of 2014, the population was 15,768. [2] The Frank and Mary Smith House and Turner and Amelia Smith House, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are located in Willow Spring. Black Creek, part of the Neuse River, runs through Willow Spring. There are wetlands such as swamp and marsh surrounding the creek.
Willow Spring has a humid subtropical climate. Summertime average temperatures range between 90-97 degrees, sometimes rising into the 100s. Average wintertime temperatures range between 55-65 degrees, sometimes rising into the mid-80s.[ citation needed ]

Fuquay-Varina is a town in southern Wake County, North Carolina, United States, lying south of Holly Springs and southwest of Garner, and north of the Harnett County town of Angier and west of the unincorporated community of Willow Springs. Fuquay Springs and Varina merged in 1963 to create the modern town. Cleveland is an unincorporated community in suburban northwestern Johnston County, North Carolina, United States. It lies at an elevation of 243 feet (74 m). The settlement is also known as Cleveland Crossings, Cleveland Community, Cleveland School or 40/42, so named for the intersection of I-40 and NC 42 at the northeastern edge of the community, which serves as the primary commercial hub of the area. NC 50 skirts the western edge of the community. The community's population is concentrated along Cleveland Road in Johnston County. While officially unincorporated, postal addresses for the community generally lie in Garner, Clayton and Benson. The community is named for the Cleveland School, a former K-12 school lying on Cleveland Road, the grounds of which currently house a community center, senior adult housing, a gymnasium and numerous athletic fields managed by the Greater Cleveland Athletic Association (GCAA), and a branch of the Johnston Community College. Nearby unincorporated communities include McGee's Crossroads to the south along NC 50 and Willow Spring to the west along NC 42.
Fuquay-Varina High School (FVHS) is a public high school in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. The current principal is Robert James, who took that position in 2022. FVHS was named a "School of Distinction" in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
