Winny Oktavina Kandow (born 14 October 1998) is an Indonesian badminton player specializes in doubles from Tewasen village in South Minahasa (then of Minahasa), North Sulawesi. [1] [2]
Trained at the Tangkas Intiland Jakarta, she managed to claim the 2016 junior national mixed doubles title partnered with Yeremia Rambitan, [3] and led her to join national team in 2017. [4] Kandow entered the 2017 National Championships held in Pangkal Pinang with Akbar Bintang Cahyono, and the duo seized the national mixed doubles title after competing as an unseeded player. [3] She is increasingly known after reaching the 2018 Singapore Open semifinal stage with Cahyono, but was defeated by their senior teammates Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in a tight straight games. [5] She succeed in clinching her first international title by winning the 2018 Hyderabad Open. [6]
In January, Kandow and her partner Amri Syahnawi competed at the Thailand Masters, but had to lose in the quarter-finals from 5th seed Korean pair Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yoo-jung. [7]
In March, Kandow and Syahnawi competed in the European tour at the Spain Masters, but had to lose in the quarter-finals from Danish pair Mathias Thyrri and Amalie Magelund. [8] In the next tour, Syahnawi and Kandow lost again in the quarter-finals at the Orléans Masters in France, this time from Chinese Taipei pair Ye Hong-wei and Lee Chia-hsin. [9]
In May, Kandow and Syahnawi competed in the second Asian tour at the Malaysia Masters, but had to lose in qualifying rounds from Chinese Taipei pair Lee Jhe-huei and Hsu Ya-ching. [10]
In September, Kandow and Syahnawi as the 4th seed lost at the first round of Indonesia Masters Super 100 I from Thai pair Tanupat Viriyangkura and Alisa Sapniti in rubber games. [11]
The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018, [12] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tours are divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300 (part of the HSBC World Tour), and the BWF Tour Super 100. [13]

Liliyana Natsir is an Indonesian former badminton player who specialized in doubles. She is one of the standout front court player, with dexterousness and skill in controlling and executing the shuttlecock. Natsir has tremendous record over more than two decade by winning a gold and a silver from the Olympic Games, and four gold medals at the BWF World Championships. Her achievements are recognized worldwide, and was inducted in the BWF Hall of Fame in 2022.
Tontowi Ahmad is a retired Indonesian badminton player. He plays for PB. Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java and joined the club in 2005. Tontowi Ahmad rose to prominence in the world badminton in 2010 when he paired with the established mixed doubles star Liliyana Natsir. With Natsir he won the 2016 Olympic gold medal in the mixed doubles category.
Praveen Jordan is an Indonesian badminton player who specialises in doubles. He is a two-time All England Open champion in mixed doubles, winning in 2016 with Debby Susanto and in 2020 with Melati Daeva Oktavianti. He has played for the badminton club PB Djarum since 2008.
Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with PB Djarum since 2007. She was the 2011 Indonesia National and World Junior Champions in the mixed doubles event. For her achievements, Widjaja was awarded as the best Djarum player of the year. She won her first senior international title in 2014 Macau Open Grand Prix Gold.
Muhammad Rian Ardianto is an Indonesian badminton player. Born in Bantul, Yogyakarta SR, Ardianto plays for the Jaya Raya Jakarta club at national events. He won the men's doubles silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, the bronze medals at the 2017 SEA Games, and at the 2019 and 2022 World Championships. Ardianto was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. He reached a career high of world number 1 in the men's doubles with Fajar Alfian on 27 December 2022.
Muhammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Jaya Raya Jakarta club. He was born in Blitar and in 2015, he won the boys' doubles title at the Indonesia Junior International Challenge tournament.
Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with the Djarum club. Cahyono competed the 2017 National Championships held in Pangkal Pinang as a unseeded player in the mixed doubles senior event with Winny Oktavina Kandow, and the duo seize the national mixed doubles title.
