The BMRC has proposed constructing a skywalk linking Platform 6 of Yesvantpur Junction railway station with the "E" entrance of the metro station. The skywalk is estimated to cost ₹1 crore (US$130,000). Although the skywalk was first proposed shortly after the metro station's opening in 2014, disagreements over funding have delayed its construction. The BMRC wants the cost to be split evenly with the Indian Railways. However, the Railways believes that the BMRC must bear the entire cost. A Railway official stated, "The rules are quite clear on this matter. Whenever a second government agency creates a new infrastructure project at any specific place and any public amenity needs to be created for that, the onus is on the new entrant to bear the costs of the project. Metro feels the need for it and it needs to be ready to fund it. Why should Railways bear the cost for something that Metro requires?" [3]
The BMRC finalized plans for the skywalk and received clearance for construction from the South Western Railway's Bengaluru division on 12 April 2019. [4]

Namma Metro, also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station is an underground metro station on the East-West corridor of the Purple Line of Namma Metro which serves the Subhash Nagar area, Sevashrama area in Bangalore, India. It was opened to the public on 30 April 2016.
The Pink Line of Namma Metro is under construction and will form part of the metro rail network for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The 21.25 km (13.20 mi) line connects Kalena Agrahara station on Bannerghatta Road in the south with Nagawara station on Outer Ring Road in the north. The Pink Line is mostly underground but also has a 6.98 km (4.34 mi) elevated section and a 0.48 km (0.30 mi) at-grade (surface) section. There are 18 stations on the line, including 12 underground and 6 elevated ones. Pink Line will have an interchange with the Purple Line at MG Road station. It will also have interchanges with the Yellow line at Jayadeva Hospital station and with the Blue Line at Nagawara. Both these lines are under construction. The entire line is planned to open at the end of March 2025.
The Yellow Line of Namma Metro is under construction and will form part of the metro rail network for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The 18.82 km (11.69 mi) line connects R.V. Road with Bommasandra and is fully elevated with 16 stations. R.V. Road station is the terminal station on the city side where an interchange is being provided with the Green Line. Jayadeva Hospital station will serve as another elevated interchange station with the Pink Line that is also under construction in Phase ll of Namma Metro's expansion. Upon its opening, Jayadeva Station will be the tallest and largest metro station in Bengaluru, with 5 levels of transport, including the metro lines. Central Silk Board station will be another interchange station between the Yellow Line and Blue Line. The other end of the Yellow Line will terminate at Bommasandra. The line was scheduled to open in June 2023, but due to construction delays, it was scheduled around July 2024. But now as per latest reports, the Yellow Line will be operational from November 2024. This postpone has been attributed to delay in delivery of coaches from China.
The Blue Line or ORR-Airport Metro Line is part of the Namma Metro rail network for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It consists of two sections - Phase-2A and Phase-2B. Construction of Phase-2A began in August 2021. Construction of Phase-2B began in February 2022. The 58.19 km line connects Central Silk Board with the Kempegowda International Airport. The Line is mostly elevated but also has an at-grade (surface) section close to the Airport and 2 short underground sections where it passes the Jakkur Aerodrome and Yelahanka AFB. There are 30 stations on the line of which the two station/s at the Airport may be at surface level or underground. Blue Line will have interchanges with the Yellow Line at Central Silk Board, Purple Line at KR Pura, Pink Line at Nagawara and with the future /proposed Orange Line at Hebbal.
Krishnarajapura is an important elevated metro station on the East-West corridor of the Purple Line as well as the South-North corridor of the upcoming Blue Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, India. This will be an upcoming interchange metro station after Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Stn., Majestic having interchange with Purple and Green Lines. Around this station, holds the main KR Puram Railway station followed by some locations like KR Pura Hanging Bridge leading towards Hoskote, Tin Factory, ITI General Hospital and many more. This station under Blue Line is planned to be operational around the year 2026 (TBC).
Hoodi is an elevated metro station on the East-West corridor of the Purple Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, India which holds the main Hoodi neighbourhood area.
