Yundi is a classical concert pianist born in Chongqing, China on October 7, 1982. [1] He is also popularly known as Yundi Li. His discography contains 16 studio albums. He has also made five contributions to compilation albums not under his name and featured in three video items, a 2004 and 2010 concert,as well as a documentary.
Yundi signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon in 2001 and in early 2002 he released his first album, containing the works of Chopin. [2] In 2003, the year of Yundi's Carnegie Hall debut, Deutsche Grammophon released his second album, an all-Liszt CD which was given the title "Best CD of the Year" by The New York Times, which also referred to his 2008 release of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major as one of the best classical CDs of the year. [1] Li continued to record for Deutsche Grammophon until October 2008, [3] releasing a total of 6 albums with the label.
In 2010, Yundi began to record with EMI, with whom he signed an exclusive recording contract to record Chopin’s complete solo piano works. [4] His first EMI release, the complete Nocturnes was released in March 2010.
In May 2012, Yundi officially signed with Universal Music Group and cooperated with Deutsche Grammophon once again. [5] He then released recordings of Beethoven Piano Sonatas, Beethoven Emperor and Schumann Fantasie, THE ART OF YUNDI, Chopin Prelude and Chopin Ballades Berceuse Mazurkas. [6]
In December 2019, Yundi signed with Warner Classics. [7] He soon released a new album on its label, Chopin’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2, in January 2020. In this recording, he not only played the piano, but also conducted the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra from the piano bench. [8]
On 5 April 2024, Yundi released his latest album Mozart: The Sonata Project - Salzburg . [9]
Yundi has achieved considerable commercial and critical success. His albums have ranked on Billboard charts, including the Top Classical Albums. [10] [11]

The English Chamber Orchestra (ECO) is a British chamber orchestra based in London. The full orchestra regularly plays concerts at Cadogan Hall, and their ensemble performs at Wigmore Hall. With a limited performance size, the orchestra specializes in 18th-century music and was created to perform Baroque Music. The orchestra regularly tours in the UK and internationally, and holds the distinction of having the most extensive discography of any chamber orchestra and being the most well-traveled orchestra in the world; no other orchestra has played concerts (as of 2013, according to its own publicity) in as many countries as the English Chamber Orchestra.
Leif Ove Andsnes is a Norwegian pianist and chamber musician. Andsnes has made several recordings for Virgin and EMI. In 2012, Andsnes signed with Sony Classical, and recorded for the label the "Beethoven Journey" project, which included the five piano concertos with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The works were recorded over three years, beginning with Nos. 1 and 3 in 2012, followed by Nos. 2 and 4 in 2013 and the Fifth Piano Concerto and Choral Fantasy in 2014. He is represented by IMG.
Dmitri Alexeev is a Russian pianist. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory, and additionally under Dmitri Bashkirov. In the 1970s, Alexeev made his debuts in London, Vienna, Chicago, and New York City, and also won the Leeds Piano Competition in 1975.

The Russian and American classical virtuoso pianist Vladimir Horowitz was a recording artist for over 60 years; beginning in 1926 on a piano roll system for Welte-Mignon, then with audio recordings, starting in 1928 for the Victor Talking Machine Company, later RCA Victor. Horowitz continued to record for a variety of record labels throughout his life. Between 1962 and 1973 he recorded for Columbia Masterworks In 1975, Horowitz returned to RCA, with which he recorded a series of live recitals. For the last years of his life, between 1985 and 1989, Horowitz recorded for Deutsche Grammophon. Horowitz's final recording, with Sony Classical, was completed in November 1989, four days before his death. This final recording consisted of repertoire that he had never previously recorded. His discography contains numerous albums and compilations of works by a variety of composers. Horowitz has also appeared in several video items, most of these were produced in the later years of his life.

His first three albums, recorded in 2010 and released in 2011, exclusively consisted of works of Chopin: the first album, Daniil Trifonov plays Frédéric Chopin, consisting of music performed live in recitals in Italy, was released by Decca Records in April; his second album, Chopin: Mazurki; Konzert, containing performances from the 16th Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, was released in May; and finally, his third album, Chopin, a studio recording, was released in July. Trifonov's next album, Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1, released in 2012, included a performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev.
