Set against the backdrop of the waning British Raj, the film chronicles the love story of a young man and a woman, played by Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta respectively, belonging to different social strata. Angrej has Aditi Sharma, Ammy Virk, Binnu Dhillon, Anita Devgan, Sardar Sohi, and Nirmal Rishi in supporting roles; it marked the feature film debut for Mehta and Virk.

He is best known for playing the role of Nikka in Nikka Zaildar series, Shivjit in Qismat & Qismat 2, Harjeet Singh in Harjeeta, and Haakam in Angrej.

<i>Bambukat</i> 2016 Indian film

Bambukat is a 2016 Indian Punjabi-language period drama film written by Jass Grewal and directed by Pankaj Batra. Co-produced by Nadar Films and Rhythm Boyz Entertainment; it stars Ammy Virk, Binnu Dhillon, Simi Chahal and Sheetal Thakur in lead roles. The film follows the story of Channan Singh, a young man falls in love with Pakko and ferries her around the village on his bicycle. However, things change after Resham Singh arrives with his new motorbike. Bambukat also stars Karamjit Anmol, Anita Devgn, Sardar Sohi, Hobby Dhaliwal, and Nirmal Rishi; it marked the feature film debut for Simi Chahal.

Jagjeet Sandhu is an Indian film actor and theatre artist who works in Punjabi and Hindi films and Television. He started his career with the biographic film Rupinder Gandhi in 2015. Sandhu is best known for his role of "Bhola" in the Rupinder Gandhi film series and "Romi Gill" in Dakuaan Da Munda and his role as "Tarsem" in Sufna is considered his best role to date.

<i>Qismat</i> 2018 film directed by Jagdeep Sidhu

Qismat (transl. Destiny) is a 2018 Punjabi romantic drama film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Produced by Shri Narotam Ji Productions, the film stars Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta in lead roles along with Guggu Gill, Tania and Harby Sangha in supporting roles. It was titled after a 2017 song of the same name, sung by Virk and starring Mehta in its music video. The film follows a man who falls in love whilst studying in Chandigarh, despite his marriage being arranged to another woman. It marked feature film debut for Tania.

<i>Rabb Da Radio 2</i> 2019 Indian film

Rabb Da Radio 2 is a 2019 Indian-Punjabi Family-Drama film directed by Sharan Art, produced by Manpreet Johal & Ashu Munish Sahni and distributed by Omjee Star. It is a direct sequel to Rabb Da Radio (2017). The film stars Tarsem Jassar and Simi Chahal in lead roles. In the film, a newly married man returns home and is saddened to learn his extended family has fractured. The film also stars B.N. Sharma, Nirmal Rishi, Jagjeet Sandhu, and Tania in supporting roles. The film won the 67th National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Punjabi.

Sukh Sanghera is a Canadian film and music video director associated with Punjabi-language films and music. He has directed over 300 Punjabi music videos. He has been nominated for various awards at PTC Punjabi Music Awards, winning one for his music video Diary sung by Amrinder Gill. In 2019, he directed Laiye Je Yaarian, for which he received PTC nomination for Best Debut Director.

Nikka Zaildar 3 is a 2019 Indian Punjabi-language romantic-comedy film directed by Simerjit Singh from a screenplay co-written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Gurpreet Singh Palheri. The film is third instalment of Nikka Zaildar film series. Co-produced by Viacom18 Studios and Patiala Motion Pictures, it stars Ammy Virk, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sonia Kour, and Nirmal Rishi in lead roles. The film chronicles the story of Nikka whose father's soul enters his body following his death. It also stars Sardar Sohi, Hardeep Gill, Baninder Bunny, Gurmeet Saajan, and Jagdeep Randhawa in supporting roles. The film was released on 20 September 2019.The film received negative reviews from critics.

The film revolves around Punjabis trying hard to make a living in a foreign land. The film also stars Iftikhar Thakur, Rup Khatkar, Nasir Chinyoti, Akram Udas, Zafri Khan, Gurshabad, Hardeep Gill, Nirmal Rishi, and Ruby Anam in supporting roles.

<i>Sufna</i> Indian Punjabi-language romantic drama film

Sufna (transl. Dream) is a 2020 Indian Punjabi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Produced by Panj Paani Films, it stars Ammy Virk and Tania. The film chronicles the story of a young man who fall in love with the cotton picker arrived to his village. Sufna has Jagjeet Sandhu, Jasmin Bajwa and Seema Kaushal in supporting roles; it marked the feature film debut for Tania as a lead actress. The film was released on 14 February 2020 in India. Soundtrack of the film is produced by B Praak and songs are written and composed by Jaani.

Parmish Verma is an Indian singer, rapper, director and actor associated with the Punjabi Music and Punjabi Film Industry. He started his career as a video director then singer, and later debuted as an actor with the film Rocky Mental.

Muklawa is a 2019 Indian Punjabi-language, comedy-drama film directed by Simerjit Singh under the banner of Ammy Virk Productions. The film is produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu. The film stars Ammy Virk, Sonam Bajwa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol and B.N. Sharma are in leading roles with Gurpreet Bhangu, Sukhwinder Chahal, Rakhi Hundal, Drishtii Garewal and Sarabjit Cheema in are in supporting roles. Muklawa was released worldwide in cinemas on 24 May 2019.

Prince Kanwaljit Singh, commonly known as Prince K.J Singh, is an Indian film actor, dialogue writer, and director. He is known for his works in Punjabi cinema. Prince became well-known after receiving plaudits for his performance in the web series Warning.

Kamaldeep Singh Dhaliwal, commonly known as Hobby Dhaliwal is an Indian film actor, singer, and politician. He is known for his works in Punjabi and Hindi films. Dhaliwal began his career by debut movie Burrraahh in 2012. The films Angrej (2015), Lahoriye (2017), Jora 10 Numbaria (2017), and Ardaas Karaan (2019) are among his best known works.
