This list of performances on Top of the Pops is a chronological account of popular songs performed by recording artists and musical ensembles on Top of the Pops , a weekly BBC One television programme that featured artists from the UK Singles Chart.

Contents

The BBC transmitted new installments of the programme weekly from January 1964 through July 2006, and later converted it into a radio programme. This list does not include performances from the radio programme.

New Year's Eve Special:

During the broadcast, footage of The Big Night In and One World Together at Home were shown and demonstrated artists including Neil Diamond, Brandon Flowers, Liam Gallagher, Stefflon Don, Little Mix, Michael Ball and Captain Tom Moore, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, John Legend, Charli XCX, Miley Cyrus, Liam Payne, Haim, Dizzee Rascal and Sophie Ellis-Bextor and made music and connected with their fans during the COVID-19 pandemic which put a halt to touring. The show also touched on how artists such as Jorja Smith, H.E.R. and Stormzy responded to the murder of George Floyd and supported the Black Lives Matter movement through their music and celebrated chart achievements by Ariana Grande, BTS, Michael Kiwanuka, Billie Eilish, Dame Shirley Bassey, The Rolling Stones, Kylie Minogue and Taylor Swift.

Anthology: The Temptations is one of three greatest hits collections released by Motown Records covering the work of soul/R&B group The Temptations. The initial release was a vinyl three-LP set issued on August 23, 1973, which covered the group's work up to that point. A compact disc double album version was issued in 1986, including five additional tracks recorded between 1973 and 1984. The third and final version of Anthology, also a 2-CD release, was issued on May 23, 1995, with a further re-tooled track listing. In 2003, the album was ranked number 398 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time; the list's 2012 edition had it ranked 400th, while on the 2020 edition it was ranked at number 371.

<i>The Capitol Years</i> (The Beach Boys album) 1980 box set by The Beach Boys

The Capitol Years is a 4-CD box set which documents The Beach Boys' career with the Capitol Records label. It was originally released in 1980 through Reader's Digest as a 7-LP boxed set, which included a bonus LP of Brian Wilson's non-Beach Boys productions for Capitol. In 1988, EMI Records Australia released 4-CD and 6-cassette versions that excluded the bonus LP.

HitClips is a digital audio player created by Tiger Electronics that plays low-fidelity mono one-minute clips of usually teen pop hits from exchangeable cartridges. It first launched in August 2000 with 60-second microchip songs featuring Britney Spears, NSYNC, and Sugar Ray. The following year songs by Destiny's Child, Backstreet Boys, Dream, and Pink were additionally released. There is a version for young children called KidClips. Tiger Electronics had licensing agreements for HitClips with popular major record labels including Atlantic Records, Jive Records/Zomba Label Group, and Capitol Records. HitClips was first promoted by McDonald's, Radio Disney, and Lunchables. By June 2002, HitClips players and music disks combined had sold more than 20 million units.

Elena Ferretti, better known as Sophie or Rose, is an Italian Eurobeat and Italo disco singer. She has performed and recorded for many record labels, under many aliases. Her music was produced by various well-known Italian producers, namely Giacomo Maiolini, Mauro Farina, Sergio Dall'Ora and Giancarlo Pasquini. She often collaborated with Clara Moroni, who wrote many of her compositions. Moroni also did most of the backing vocals/choirs for Ferretti's songs for Time Records. Together with Moroni, she was a member of the duo Gipsy & Queen. In 2011, she recorded and released an Italian folk song entitled "Io Libera". Among her best known hits is the song "My World".

Classic Rock was a 31-volume series issued by Time Life during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The series spotlighted popular music played on Top 40 radio stations of the mid-to-late-1960s.
