St. Francis Xavier Church is located at 611 Sycamore Street, Cincinnati, Ohio. This was the location of the first diocesan cathedral and the center of early Roman Catholic life in Cincinnati. It was dedicated to St. Peter on December 17, 1826. "Christ Church", the city's first Catholic church was located at Vine and Liberty streets, in the "Northern Liberties" area, at the time outside of the city. A story that the church had to be built on the outskirts of the city because anti-Catholic prejudice prevented a Roman Catholic church within city limits has been shown to be false by church historians. Its frame building was moved on wheels to Sycamore Street in 1826 to serve as the first seminary. Saint Francis Seraph Church now is on the former site, on land purchased from James Findlay.

The First Hancock County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Findlay, Ohio, United States. Built in 1833, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The building, as planned in December 1831, was designed to be a temporary structure for the county offices and court system. It was designed as a two-story building measuring 24 by 26 feet; it is a simple frame structure of no particular architectural style. With the exception of the main entrance, the building's elements are purely functional: its shape is simply rectangular with no ornamental details, except for a decorative transom and sidelights framing the main entrance.

The New Preston Hill Historic District encompasses a small rural 19th-century village center in the New Preston area of the town of Washington, in Litchfield County, Connecticut. Findlay Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Peters Township in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The house was built between 1825 and 1830, and is a 2 1⁄2-story, five-bay rubble limestone dwelling with a gable roof. It has a full-length front porch added in the early 20th century. Also on the property is a 19th-century frame barn. The property was once owned by Pennsylvania Governor and U.S. Senator William Findlay (1768–1856), who sold it in 1823.
