The 1993 European Youth Summer Olympic Days was the second edition of multi-sport event for European youths between the ages of 12 and 18. It was held in Valkenswaard, Netherlands from 3 to 9 July.

Sports

A total of ten sports were contested by 1874 athletes representing 43 European nations. Table tennis was dropped from the 1991 program, while cycling and gymnastics made their first appearance.

A multi-sport event is an organized sporting event, often held over multiple days, featuring competition in many different sports among organized teams of athletes from (mostly) nation-states. Johannes Augustinus Petrus "Jan" Tops is an equestrian from the Netherlands, who won the gold medal in the team jumping event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain riding Top Gun. He did so alongside Piet Raijmakers, Jos Lansink and Bert Romp. He competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1988.
