The 1st Servis Hum Awards Ceremony (referred to as Hum Awards), presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC) honour the best dramas of 2012 of Hum and to honour achievement in Fashion and Music. The ceremony took place on 12 March, 2013, at the Expo Center in Karachi [3] and was televised on 28 April 2013. During the ceremony, the Hum Channel presented Awards in 24 regular categories along with in 3 honorary and in 2 special categories. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan by Hum TV.
The events were hosted by Mikaal Zulfiqar, Mahira Khan, Vasay Chaudhry. [4] During the ceremony, additional Honorary Awards were presented by host Bushra Ansari. [5]
Shehr-e-Zaat won three awards including Best Drama Serial for Momina Duraid, Abdullah Kadwani & Asad Qureshi. Mere Qatil Mere Dildar won two awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Shagufta Ejaz. Sanjha won two awards including Best Director for Farooq Rind. Humsafar also won two awards. Mahira Khan won the Best Actress award for her role in Shehr-e-Zaat . Noman Ejaz won Best Actor for portraying the promising character in Bari Aapa . [6]
The nominees for public voting were announced on 20 February, 2013, and the rest of the categories were announced on 12 March 2013, through the official website of HUM TV and by Mikaal Zulfiqar Host of 1st Annual Hum Awards, and actress Mahira Khan. Seven categories were set to be open for voting by viewers. [7]

The 1st Hum Awards were presented by Servis and powered by Telenor, Talk Shawlk and Nokia Lumia. The music was composed by Waqar Ali. In addition to hosting, the co-host Vasay Chaudry was the script writer, arranger, and writer of the ceremony. The main hosts were nominated for Best Actor in a lead role and Best Actress in a lead role.
Voting Trend for 1st Hum Awards was very genuine and authentic. Awards have both involvement of Jury and Audience. At launching of Hum Awards Shazia Ramzi announces the voting trend and Categories for which the actors were nominated. Out of the 32 categories, seven categories are Viewers' Choice. [10] Voting for viewers' choice was did through IVR, SMS & on Hum TV official Website from 20 February – 5 March 2013 [11] (Voting and Nominations are closed now) The other categories will be judged by a specialist jury and includes, Best On-Screen Couple for which Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan are nominees for their appearance in the extremely popular series, Humsafar among others.
The show received a mixed reception from media outlets and print publications, generally lauding Mahira Khan as a Host. People praise her much as a host. Mikaal also did a good job being doing a first full-fledged hosting. The whole ceremony was praised and watched by Pakistanis with full zenith, zeal and zest across the Globe.
Pakistani comedian turned singer Ali Pir Gul was nominated at Hum awards in Music field but the team and management skips his nomination without knowing him which turned this news to a controversy. [12] [13]
Humsafar is a 2011 Pakistani drama telenovel based on the novel of the same name by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. It stars Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Naveen Waqar in lead roles and Atiqa Odho, Hina Khawaja Bayat, Behroze Sabzwari and Noor Hassan Rizvi in supporting roles. The series was first broadcast on 24 September 2011 on Hum TV.
Mian Mikaal Patras Zulfiqar, commonly known as Mikaal Zulfiqar, is a British-Pakistani actor and former model. He has appeared in a number of Pakistani television series. He has also acted in a few Indian films and is currently active in Pakistani films. He is one of the highest paid Pakistani actors. In 2015, he won the Best Actor (Popular) Award at Hum TV Awards due to his performance in television series Mohabat Subh Ka Sitara Hai.
Shehr-e-Zaat is a 2012 Pakistani spiritual romantic drama serial based on the novella of the same name by Umera Ahmad. It is directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat, and produced by Momina Duraid and Abdullah Kadwani. It stars Mahira Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar and Mohib Mirza in the leads.
The 14th Lux Style Awards ceremony, presented by Lux to honor the fashion, music, films and Pakistani television of 2014 was held on 30 September 2015 beginning at 8:30 p.m PST. For this year ceremony no nominations were made for terrestrial and satellite categories in Television section as no satisfied entries for respective portfolios were submitted.

The Hum Award for Best Drama Serial or Hum Award for Best Drama Serial Jury is one of the Hum Awards of Merit presented annually since the awards debuted in 2013, by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC) to production company of their producers working in the television industry and is the only category in which every member is eligible to nominate for. Best Drama Serial is considered the most important of the Hum Awards, as it represents all the directing, acting, music, writing, and other efforts put forth into a drama. Consequently, Best Drama is the third last final award besides Best Actor and Actress and the conclusion of the annual Hum Awards ceremony. As of 3rd Hum Awards, there have been 22 dramas nominated for the Best Drama Serial award. This category is the equivalent to the Hum Award for Best Drama Serial - Popular, decide by public voting.

Since its inception, however, the award has commonly been referred to as the hum for Best Onscreen Couple. This is one of the viewers choice and voted category in Hum Awards.

Diyar-e-Dil is a Pakistani television drama serial, that originally aired on Hum TV from 17 March 2015 to 27 October 2015, consisting of a total of 33 episodes.Diyar-e-Dil follows the lives of a dysfunctional family led by Agha Jaan and his grandchildren, Wali and Faarah. The story is told in a heavily serialized manner. It revolves around the lives of Wali and Faarah, who were forced to commit to each other for the cause of reuniting their family, that fell apart long ago because of Agha Jaan's eldest son Behroze, when he called off his long engagement to marry his late-love interest.

Momina Duraid is a Pakistani director and producer. She is a senior producer and creative head of television network Hum TV and CEO of her own production company MD Productions. She has produced and created several series including Dastaan (2010), Qaid-e-Tanhai (2010–11), Humsafar (2011–12), Shehr-e-Zaat (2012), Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012–13), Diyar-e-Dil (2015), Sadqay Tumhare (2015), Mann Mayal (2016), Udaari (2016), Bin Roye (2016), Yaqeen Ka Safar (2017), Suno Chanda (2018) and Ehd-e-Wafa (2019).
Alif Allah Aur Insaan is a Pakistani Sufi spiritual drama series that aired on Hum TV from April 25,2017 to February 13,2018. It was produced by Momina Duraid, as part of a night program all under Duraid's MD Productions and was written by Qaisra Hayat, based on her novel of the same name. The series was directed by Ahson Talish. It was also telecast on state channel PTV Home from August 2019 through 2020. It stars Usman Peerzada, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Kubra Khan, Ushna Shah, Shehzad Sheikh, Imran Ashraf, and Sana Fakhar.

Superstar is a 2019 Pakistani romantic, musical-drama film, starring Bilal Ashraf and Mahira Khan. It is directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, produced by Momina & Duraid Films, and the music and screenplay are by Azaan Sami Khan. The story of the film follows Noori, who works in a theatre run by her uncle Agha Jan, her entry in films and her romance and betrayal. The principal photography of the film began in March 2019. It was released on the occasion of Eid al-Adha on 12 August 2019 by Hum Films under Momina & Duraid Films.
