The 5th Hum Awards ceremony, presented by Pel, powered by QMobile and brought by Kashmir Cooking Oil & Banaspati, took place in Lahore on 29 April 2017 at 7:30pm PST. [2] [3] The ceremony was televised in Hum TV on 22 July 2017. [4] During the ceremony, Hum Awards were presented in 25 categories.

The show was hosted by Hareem Farooq, Mikaal Zulfiqar, and Nadia Khan, while comedy hosting was done by Yasir Hussain and Ahmad Ali Butt.

The actor, Yasir Hussain, who co-hosted the show, was alleged for his inappropriate joke on child molestation when granting the award of Best Negative Role to Ahsan Khan. [7] [8] [9] [10]

Zara Noor Abbas Gill, also known by her married name Zara Noor Abbas Siddiqui, is a Pakistani actress. She is best known for her role as Arsala in Momina Duraid's Khamoshi (2017), and has also acted in serials Dharkan (2016), Lamhay (2018), Qaid (2018), Deewar-e-Shab (2019), Ehd-e-Wafa (2019), Phaans (2021), Badshah Begum (2022) and Jhoom (2023). The After Moon Show was a Pakistani prime time talk show hosted by Yasir Hussain on Hum TV. The show premiered on 10 February 2018. It was produced by Hum Television Network. The show is hosted by film, theater and television actor Yasir Hussain, in his debut as a television host.

Zain Afzal is a Pakistani actor. He is mostly known for his comedy roles. He is best known for playing the role "Taimoor" in Sanwari. He also acted in the film Ready Steady No. He also known for Senti Aur Mental. In 2018, Zain was also invited on celebrity talkshow Mazaaq Raat.

Noor Ul Hassan is a Pakistani actor, television presenter, television host, and compère. He hosted the Ramadan transmission in 2011 and in 2014 for PTV Home. He appeared in acclaimed television serials such as Ishq Jalebi, Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila, Aangan, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Cheekh.
