The Provincial Assembly of Karnali Province also known as the Karnali Pradesh Sabha, is a unicameral governing and law making body of Karnali Province, one of the seven provinces in Nepal The assembly is seated in the provincial capital at Birendranagar in Surkhet District at the Irrigation Division Office. The assembly has 40 members of whom 24 are elected through first-past-the-post voting and 16 are elected through proportional representation. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier.

Him Bahadur Shahi is a Nepali politician of Nepali Congress and Minister for Social Development in Karnali government since 6 February 2022. He is also serving as member of the Karnali Province Provincial Assembly.
Gulab Jung Shah is a Nepalese politician from Karnali Province. He is a member of Provincial Assembly of Karnali Province belonging to the CPN (UML). Shah, a resident of Bangad Kupinde, was elected via 2017 Nepalese provincial elections from Salyan 1(A) constituency. He was appointed the Chief Whip of CPN (UML) and also the party co-incharge for Salyan District, Nepal since 2019. Later, the ruling parliamentary party leader and former Chief minister of Karnali Province, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has removed him as the party's chief whip in 2020.
Sita Kumari Nepali is a Nepalese politician and Minister for Internal Affairs, Law and Sports of Karnali Province. She is a member of Provincial Assembly of Karnali Province belonging to the CPN. Nepali, a resident of Lekbeshi, was elected under the proportional representation (PR) category for Dalit. In 2020, she was appointed as the chief whip of the party’s provincial committee by the former Chief minister, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi of Karnali Province. She is also the spokesperson for the Karnali provincial government. In 2021, she announced that the provincial government has decided to establish mass communications academy.
Prakash Jwala is a Nepali politician who served in the House of Representatives from 1999 until 2008 and in the Karnali Provincial Assembly from 2018 until his expulsion in April 2021, representing the Salyan 1 constituency as a member of the Communist Party of Nepal. After his expulsion, Jwala joined the newly-formed Communist Party of Nepal, and is running as one of its candidates for the House of Representatives in the 2022 Nepalese general election.
The first Province No. 1 Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 93 members were elected to the assembly, 56 of whom were elected through direct elections and 37 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 5 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Sher Dhan Rai and Bhim Acharya served as chief ministers from CPN and Rajendra Kumar Rai served as chief minister from CPN during the term of the assembly. Pradeep Kumar Bhandari served as the speaker of the assembly and Saraswati Pokharel served as deputy speaker.
The first Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 1 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Dormani Poudel and Astalaxmi Shakya served as the chief ministers from the CPN (UML) and Rajendra Prasad Pandey served as chief minister from CPN during the term of the assembly. Sanu Kumar Shrestha served as the speaker of the assembly and Radhika Tamang served as the deputy speaker.
The first Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 53 members were elected to the assembly, 32 of whom were elected through direct elections and 21 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Trilochan Bhatta from the CPN served as chief minister during the term of the assembly. Arjun Bahadur Thapa served as the speaker of the assembly and Nirmala Badal Joshi served as the deputy speaker.
The Second Federal Parliament of Nepal, was elected by the 2022 general elections on 20 November 2022. The elections elected 275 Members of Parliament (MPs), 165 for each constituency and 110 through the party list, to the House of Representatives. The parliament convened for the first time on 9 January 2023.
The 2nd Koshi Provincial Assembly was elected through the provincial elections held on 20 November 2022. The assembly has 56 constituency seats in which members are elected through direct elections and 36 proportional representation party list seats. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier. The first session of the assembly commenced from 1 January 2023.

The first session of the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.
The second Lumbini Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 87 members were elected to the assembly, 52 of whom were elected through direct elections and 35 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session of the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.
The second Karnali Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 40 members were elected to the assembly, 24 of whom were elected through direct elections and 16 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session of the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.
