The first Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections in Nepal. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 1 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. [1] Dormani Poudel and Astalaxmi Shakya served as the chief ministers from the CPN (UML) and Rajendra Prasad Pandey served as chief minister from CPN (Unified Socialist) during the term of the assembly. He assumed the post of the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal on 25 February 2014 under Sushil Koirala-led government.

    Astalaxmi Shakya is a Nepalese politician and former Chief Minister of Bagmati Province. She is first woman chief minister of Nepal. Governor Bishnu Prasad Prasain appointed Shakya as the chief minister as per Article 168 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal after she was unanimously elected parliamentary party leader of the CPN (UML) on 18 August 2021, following the resignation of outgoing chief minister Dormani Poudel, as both the parliamentary party leader and chief minister. On 9th March 2023 she was chosen as a candidate in the 2023 Nepalese vice presidential election from Communist Party of Nepal (UML).

    Dormani Poudel is a Nepali politician and former chief minister of Bagmati Province. He was in office from 12 February 2018 to 18 August 2021. Poudel was elected parliamentary party leader of the CPN (UML), the largest party in the provincial assembly, on 9 February 2018, receiving 34 votes among 58 provincial assembly members. He was subsequently appointed the first chief minister of Bagmati Province on 12 February 2018, after taking the oath of office from province governor Anuradha Koirala.     The Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province also known as the Bagmati Pradesh Sabha, is a unicameral governing and law making body of Bagmati Province, one of the seven provinces in Nepal.     The chief minister of the Bagmati Province is the head of government of Bagmati Province. The chief minister is appointed by the governor of the province according to Article 167 of the Constitution of Nepal. The chief minister remains in office for five years or until the provincial assembly is dissolved, and is subject to no term limits, given that they have the confidence of the assembly.

After the split of CPN(UML), she's been working on Interim capacity while opposition has claimed majority.     <span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 Kathmandu municipal election</span> Nepalese local elections

    Municipal election for Kathmandu took place on 13 May 2022, with all 162 positions up for election across 32 wards. The electorate elected a mayor, a deputy mayor, 32 ward chairs and 128 ward members. An indirect election will also be held to elect five female members and an additional three female members from the Dalit and minority community to the municipal executive.

    The first Province No. 1 Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 93 members were elected to the assembly, 56 of whom were elected through direct elections and 37 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 5 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Sher Dhan Rai and Bhim Acharya served as chief ministers from CPN and Rajendra Kumar Rai served as chief minister from CPN during the term of the assembly. Pradeep Kumar Bhandari served as the speaker of the assembly and Saraswati Pokharel served as deputy speaker.

    The first Karnali Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 40 members were elected to the assembly, 24 of whom were elected through direct elections and 16 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Mahendra Bahadur Shahi from the CPN and Jeevan Bahadur Shahi from the Nepali Congress served as chief ministers during the term of the assembly. Raj Bahadur Shahi served as the speaker of the assembly and Pushpa Bahadur Gharti served as the deputy speaker.

    The Second Federal Parliament of Nepal, was elected by the 2022 general elections on 20 November 2022. The elections elected 275 Members of Parliament (MPs), 165 for each constituency and 110 through the party list, to the House of Representatives. The parliament convened for the first time on 9 January 2023.

    The 2nd Koshi Provincial Assembly was elected through the provincial elections held on 20 November 2022. The assembly has 56 constituency seats in which members are elected through direct elections and 36 proportional representation party list seats. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier. The first session of the assembly commenced from 1 January 2023.

    The 2nd Madhesh Provincial Assembly was elected through the provincial elections held on 20 November 2022. The assembly has 64 constituency seats in which members are elected through direct elections and 43 proportional representation party list seats. The term of the assembly is 5 years unless dissolved earlier. The first session of the assembly started from 2 January 2023.

    The second Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session on the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.

    The second Gandaki Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 60 members were elected to the assembly, 36 of whom were elected through direct elections and 24 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session of the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.

    The second Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 87 members were elected to the assembly, 52 of whom were elected through direct elections and 35 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session of the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.
