This is a list of members elected to the Rastriya Panchayat in the 1986 Nepalese Rastriya Panchayat election and subsequent by-elections.
The list is arranged by district for elected members and by zones for nominated members. Navaraj Subedi served as chairman, [2] and Marich Man Singh Shrestha and Lokendra Bahadur Chand served as prime ministers during the term of the panchayat.

The National Assembly or Rastriya Sabha is the upper house of the Federal Parliament of Nepal, the lower house being the House of Representatives. The composition and powers of the Assembly are established by Part 8 and 9 of the Constitution of Nepal. There are a total of 59 members: 8 members are elected from each of the seven provinces by an electoral college of each province, and three are appointed by the President on recommendation of the government.
The Order of precedence of Nepal is the protocol list (hierarchy) in which the functionaries and officials are listed according to their rank and office in the Government of Nepal. As the country embraces federalism, the government finalized a new order of precedence in April 2019. The earlier order of precedence was revised by adjusting some key positions, mainly with the provincial administrations in place. The President is at the top of protocol, followed by the Vice President and then the Prime Minister.
The Rastriya Panchayat was the legislature of the Kingdom of Nepal from during the panchayat era from 1962 to 1990. Following the 1960 coup by King Mahendra, the enactment of the Constitution of 1962, made the Rastriya Panchayat the supreme legislative body in the country, replacing the Parliament of Nepal.
Following the Nepalese Constituent Assembly Election on 10 April 2008, the Communist Party of Nepal formed a government out of the 1st Nepalese Constituent Assembly led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and backed by the Communist Party of Nepal , Madhesi Jana Adhikar Forum, Nepal, Sadbhavana Party, Janamorcha Nepal and the Communist Party of Nepal (United).
National Assembly elections were held in Nepal on 23 January 2020 across all seven provinces to elect the 18 of the 19 retiring members of the National Assembly. According to Article 86 of the Constitution of Nepal 2015, one third of the members of the National Assembly are elected every two years through an electoral college. Following the full implementation of the house in 2018, one-third of the members chosen by drawing a lottery retired after only two years.
Amik Sherchan is a Nepalese politician and current Governor of Lumbini Province of Nepal. He is former chairman of Janamorcha Nepal. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister & Health and Population Minister of Nepal in the interim government under Girija Prasad Koirala cabinet. He also served as the 2nd Governor of Gandaki Province of Nepal. He is active as a politician and prominent leader since 1967. He was elected as a member of the Pratinidhi Sabha and Member of 1st Constituent Assembly from Chitwan.

Morang 5 is one of six parliamentary constituencies of Morang District in Nepal. This constituency came into existence on the Constituency Delimitation Commission (CDC) report submitted on 31 August 2017.
Tanka Prasad Acharya formed a government on 27 January 1956 after being appointed as prime minister by King Mahendra. The cabinet was expanded in February 1957 to add more deputy ministers.
Dhanraj Gurung is a Nepali politician belonging to Nepali Congress. Gurung is the current Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of Nepal. He is the current member of House of Representatives having been elected from Syangja 2.
Krishna Prasad Sitaula is a Nepali politician, belonging to the Nepali Congress. He who is the leader of Nepali Congress parliamentary party in upper house, Rastriya Sabha. Sitaula is known for playing an important role during the comprehensive peace accord.
Rajendra Laxmi Gaire is a Nepalese politician and party member of Communist Party of Nepal. She is also member of Rastriya Sabha and was elected from 2022 Nepalese National Assembly election.
The first Koshi Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 93 members were elected to the assembly, 56 of whom were elected through direct elections and 37 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 5 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Sher Dhan Rai and Bhim Acharya served as chief ministers from CPN and Rajendra Kumar Rai served as chief minister from CPN during the term of the assembly. Pradeep Kumar Bhandari served as the speaker of the assembly and Saraswati Pokharel served as deputy speaker.
