The 2003 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (also known as the Liga Bank Mandiri for sponsorship reasons) was the ninth season of the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, the top Indonesian professional league for association football clubs, since its formation in 1994. It began on 12 January and ended on 15 September. Petrokimia Putra were the defending champions. [1]

Gresik United Football Club, commonly known as GUFC, is an Indonesian professional football club based in Gresik, East Java. They currently compete in Liga 2, after promotion from Liga 3.

The 2002 Liga Indonesia Premier Division Final was a football match that was played on 7 July 2002 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. It was contested by Persita Tangerang and Petrokimia Putra to determine the winner of the 2002 Liga Indonesia Premier Division. Petrokimia Putra won the match 2–1 thanks to a golden goal from Yao Eloii. With the result, Petrokimia Putra claim their first-ever professional title.
Indra Mohammad Thohir is an Indonesian former football coach who is best known for guiding Persib Bandung to two consecutive national titles, the 1993–94 Perserikatan and 1994–95 Liga Indonesia Premier Division. He is considered one of Persib's greatest coaches of all time. Aside from Persib, he has also coached Persikabo Bogor and the Indonesia national under-16 football team.
