Vice Mayor Arnold Vicencio ran for re-election for second term.

Rep. Federico "Ricky" Sandoval II was term-limited. He ran as mayor of Navotas instead. His party chosen his brother, Alvin Sandoval to run for him. Sandoval faced Josephine Veronique "Jaye" Lacson-Noel, wife of AN-Waray Partylist Rep. Florentino "Bem" Noel.

Recount for Congressional Race (Sandoval vs. Lacson-Noel)

According to House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET), Lacson-Noel, a candidate of the Nationalist People's Coalition, got a total of 70,655 votes compared to the 70,113 votes received by Sandoval, then Lakas-CMD congressional candidate, during the recount of ballots. [3] In a 65-page ruling, HRET held that Sandoval lost to Lacson-Noel by a margin of 542 votes. Therefore, Sandoval was unseated, giving way Lacson-Noel to serve his remaining term.
