The 2008 FIBA Diamond Ball was an official basketball tournament held in Nanjing, China, from July 29 until August 1, 2008. The FIBA Diamond Ball was an official international basketball tournament organised by FIBA, [2] held every Olympic year prior to the Olympics. It was the 3rd edition of the FIBA Diamond Ball. The six participating teams were Angola, Argentina, Australia, host China, Iran and Serbia.

2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup

The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams. The tournament was hosted in China and was rescheduled from 2018 to 2019, becoming the first since 1967 that did not occur in the same year as the FIFA World Cup. The tournament expanded from 24 to 32 teams.

The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification began in earnest at the 2011 Caribbean Championships, a qualifier to the 2012 Centrobasket, which was in itself a qualifier to the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship. 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship

The 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship(Arabic: بطولة العالم لكرة السلة 2014 تحت 17 سنة ) was an international basketball competition held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 8–16 August 2014. It was the third edition of the FIBA Under-17 World Cup. Sixteen national teams competed in the tournament as opposed to last edition of the tournament, where twelve national teams competed. The preliminary round action takes place in Al-Ahli Arena and Al-Wasl Arena, with the Hamdan Sports Complex hosting the final round. This was the first time the FIBA Under-17 World Cup was held outside Europe.

The basketball qualification for the Summer Olympics men's basketball tournament occurred from 2014 to 2016; all five FIBA zones sent in teams.

2017 FIBA Asia Cup

The 2017 FIBA Asia Cup was the 29th continental basketball championship in Asia. The tournament was organised by FIBA Asia. It took place from 8 to 20 August 2017, a week earlier from the initial scheduled date, in Lebanon. The Nouhad Nawfal Arena with a capacity of 8,000 seats hosted the tournament's matches.

Twelve teams qualified for the women's basketball at the 2020 Summer Olympics tournament. The host nation and the 2018 World Cup winner qualified. Those two teams, however, had to play in the pre-qualifying and qualifying tournaments and took one of the qualifying spots from those tournaments.
