The United States Open Tennis Championships is a hardcourt tennis tournament held annually at Flushing Meadows, starting on the last Monday in August and lasting for two weeks. The tournament consists of five main championship events: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles, with additional tournaments for seniors, juniors, and wheelchair players.
Bernard Tomic won in the final 4–6, 7–6(7–5), 6–0, against Yang Tsung-hua and claimed the title, becoming the youngest player to win a grand slam title.
Donald Young was the defending champion, but did not complete in the Juniors this year.
Steve Darcis was the defending champion but decided not to participate in The Hague Open - Singles.
Jerzy Janowicz won the title, defeating Matwé Middelkoop 6–2, 6–2 in the final.
Andy Murray defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 6–4, 7–5, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships. He became the first Briton to win the title since Fred Perry in 1936, ending a 76-year drought, as well as the first British winner in singles since Virginia Wade won the women's event in 1977. He was also the first Scot to win the title since Harold Mahony in 1896.
David Ferrer defeated Jerzy Janowicz in the final, 6–4, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2012 Paris Masters. It was his only Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Spaniard to win the Paris Masters.
Two-time defending champion Novak Djokovic defeated Andy Murray in the final, 6–7(2–7), 7–6(7–3), 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2013 Australian Open. It was his fourth Australian Open title and sixth major title overall. With the win, Djokovic became the first man in the Open Era to win the Australian Open three consecutive times.
Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 6–2, 3–6, 6–4, 6–1 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2013 US Open. It was his second US Open title and 13th major title overall, moving him to third place on the all time men's singles major titles list, past Roy Emerson. This marked the third time in four years that Nadal and Djokovic contested the final.

Four-time defending champion Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 3–6, 7–5, 6–2, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2014 French Open. It was his record-extending ninth French Open title and his 14th major title overall, tying Pete Sampras in second place for the most men's singles major titles in history. Nadal became the first man to win nine titles at the same major and the first man to win the French Open five consecutive times.

Lukáš Rosol was the defending champion, but lost to Jerzy Janowicz in the second round. Kevin Anderson won the title defeating in the final Pierre-Hugues Herbert with the score 6–4, 7–5.
Defending champion Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–3, 5–7, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2015 Swiss Indoors. This was Federer's tenth consecutive final at the event.
Feliciano López was the champion in 2014, when the men's event was last held, but withdrew before the tournament began.
Juan Martín del Potro was the defending champion and successfully defended his title, defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the final, 6–4, 6–2.
