The 2008–09 Santosh Trophy qualification was the qualifying round for the 2008–09 edition of the Santosh Trophy, the premier association football competition in India for teams representing their state football associations. It began on 24 May and ended on 1 June 2009.

Contents

Twenty-seven teams entered the competition and were divided into eight 'clusters' to play the qualification after Nagaland pulled out. [1] The winner of each cluster were to move to the pre-quarter final knock-out round from which four would progress to the quarter-final stage. [2] Punjab, Services, Bengal and Karnataka were directly seeded to the quarterfinal league. [3]

The 2008–09 I-League season began on 26 September 2008 and finished on 16 April 2009 with a break in December for the Federation Cup and Durand Cup. Most games this season were played on Saturday's and Sunday's to attract larger crowds. The 1991–92 Santosh Trophy was the 48th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main State competition for football in India. It was held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Kerala defeated Goa 3–0 in the final. It was the second title for Kerala which had lost in the finals in the previous four years in a row.

The 2021–22 Santosh Trophy qualifiers is the qualifying round for the 2021–22 Santosh Trophy, the premier competition in India for teams representing their regional and state football associations. A total of 37 teams competed in the qualifiers to decide the 10 places in the final round of the tournament.

The 1998–99 Santosh Trophy was the 55th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main State competition for football in India. It was held between 25 March and 4 April 1999 in Tamil Nadu, India. In the final, Bengal beat Goa 1–0 in a repeat of the previous edition's final. It was Bengal's sixth consecutive title and 29th overall.

The 2022–23 Santosh Trophy group stage was contested by a total of 36 teams from 23 December 2022 to 31 January 2023, to decide the remaining 9 places in the Final round of the tournament.
