The 2009 FIBA Under-19 World Championship (Maori: 2009 FIBA I-Raro I Te 19 Tau Toa o Te Ao) was the 9th edition of the FIBA U19 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U19 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. It was held in Auckland, New Zealand from 2 to 12 July 2009.

It was hosted by Heraklion, Greece, from 27 June to 5 July 2015. It was the third time that Greece hosted the tournament since 1995.

Qualification for the 2001 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2001, took place between 18 May 1998 and 27 January 2001. A total of eight teams qualified for the tournament. The top eight teams from EuroBasket 1999 earned direct qualification.

The tournament was held in Suva, Fiji from December 5 to December 10. Australia beat New Zealand in the final, 107–52, to earn the country's 7th consecutive gold in this event.

The tournament, which was also the 24th edition of the biennial competition, was held in Bangalore, India from 28 October to 3 November. The top four teams qualified and will represent FIBA Asia in the 2019 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup in Thailand.
