Peter Seisenbacher is a judo coach and retired judoka from Austria.
The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the international governing body for judo, founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe and Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF.
Claudia Heill was an Austrian judoka best known for winning the silver medal in the half-middleweight (–63 kg) division at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Ezio Gamba is a retired judoka from Italy, who represented his native country at four consecutive Olympic Games. Gamba claimed the gold medal in the men's lightweight division (–71 kg) in 1980 by defeating Great Britain's Neil Adams.

The Soviet War Memorial in Vienna, more formally known as the Heroes' Monument of the Red Army, is located at Vienna's Schwarzenbergplatz. The semi-circular white marble colonnade partially enclosing a twelve-metre figure of a Soviet soldier was unveiled in 1945. The Heroes' Monument of the Red Army in Vienna was built to commemorate the 17,000 Red Army soldiers killed in action during the Vienna offensive in World War II.
Gévrise Émane is a French judoka. She was the European champion in the women's 63 kg weight class.
The 1980 European Judo Championships were the 3rd edition of the European Judo Championships, and were held in Vienna, Austria on 18 May 1980.
Charline Van Snick is a Belgian judoka who won bronze in the Woman's Judo 48 kg in the 2012 Summer Olympics. She also earned a bronze medal at the 2010 European Judo Championships and a silver medal at the 2012 and 2013 European Judo Championships.
Hilde Drexler is an Austrian judoka. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she competed in the Women's 63 kg, but was defeated in the second round.
Marcus Victor Jan Nyman is a Swedish judoka. He competes in the men's −90 kg judo event. In the 2012 Summer Olympics he was eliminated after losing his first match. In the 2016 Summer Olympics he won three of five matches and finished fifth. Nyman won the gold medal at the 2010 European Judo Championships and the bronze medal at the 2011 and 2016 Championships.
Vera Vyacheslavovna Koval is a Russian judoka, who played for the half-middleweight category. She won two medals for her division at the 2009 European Judo Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, and at the 2010 European Judo Championships in Vienna, Austria. She also competes in women's sumo, including at the World Championships.
Lyudmila Yuryevna Bogdanova is a Russian judoka, who played for the extra lightweight category. She is a multiple-time Russian judo champion, and a two-time gold medalist for the 52 kg division at the European Junior Judo Championships. She also achieved three top-five finishes in the women's 48 kg class at the European Judo Championships.
The Austrian Judo Federation is the national organisation for judo in Austria. The president is POIGER Martin. The Austrian Judo Federation is affiliated with the International Judo Federation. Its headquarters are in Vienna.
The 2015 European Judo Championships were organised by the European Judo Union. Initially it was planned that championships will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 9 to 12 April 2015. On 21 February 2015, it was announced that competition would be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the 2015 European Games. The individual contests took place on 25–27 June 2015.
Toma Nikiforov is a Belgian judoka who competes in the under 100 kg category. In 2015, he won bronze medals at the world championships and European Games. He placed second at the 2016 European championships, but was eliminated in the second bout at the Rio Olympics. He won the gold medal at the 2018 and 2021 European Championships.
Magdalena Krssakova is an Austrian judoka. She won the silver medal in the women's 63 kg event at the 2020 European Judo Championships held in Prague, Czech Republic.
Katharina Tanzer is an Austrian judoka and Austrian state champion –48 kg. She holds the 1st Dan. In 2022 she is part of the A-Team of the national team.
