Ariel "Arik" Ze'evi is a retired Israeli dan 6 black belt in judo. He had a long and successful career competing in half-heavyweight judo competitions. He won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's 100 kg judo competition.

The 2015 European Judo Championships were organised by the European Judo Union. Initially it was planned that championships will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 9 to 12 April 2015. On 21 February 2015, it was announced that competition would be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the 2015 European Games. The individual contests took place on 25–27 June 2015.

The World Judo Cadets Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 18 years of age or less. The championships are held every second year by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their countries. The last edition of the championships took place in Zagreb, Croatia in 2023.

He is a bronze medalist of the 2015 European Games in the team event and a bronze medalist of both the 2012 and 2017 European Championships in the team events as well. In the individual competition at the 2015 European Games, Synyavsky lost in the round of 32 to Nikoloz Sherazadishvili from Spain.
