The Punjab Stadium is a football stadium in Lahore, Pakistan. It was nicknamed the "Ian Rush Stadium" after the Liverpool striker visited Pakistan to promote grassroots football in the country.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is the national governing body of association football in Pakistan. It is a member of FIFA, the international governing body of football and affiliated to the Asian Football Confederation and South Asian Football Federation. The federation was founded in 1947, it also manages the futsal and beach soccer national teams.
Jinnah Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 48,000 people and is the largest stadium in Pakistan.
The Islamabad Football Association (IFA) is the regional governing body of association football and futsal in Islamabad, Pakistan. Its headquarters are located in Jinnah Sports Stadium. Zarai Taraqiati Football Club served as a football section of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited formerly known as Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan. In its brief history the club won the Football Federation League, second division of Pakistani football in its second year on inception.

Each team was scheduled to play play each other twice for a total of 22 games. The league was not recognised by FIFA, as it was organized by the then PFF President, Ashfaq Hussain Shah who came to power after attacking and taking charge of the PFF office. The tournament was suspended after a few months into the season and then cancelled.

The 2019-2020 National Women Football Championship was the 12th season of the National Women Football Championship, the top-tier of women's football in Pakistan. The tournament took place in two phases: qualifying round in November 2019 and final round from 1 to 12 January 2020 in Karachi.
The 2020 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 29th edition of domestic association football cup competition in Pakistan. 28 teams participated in the competition, commencing from 30 November and concluding on 20 December 2020. The competition was held in Lahore, with Punjab Stadium and Fame FC Ground hosting all the matches.

The 2023–2024 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 30th edition of domestic cup competition in Pakistan. 27 departmental teams participated in the competition, from 24 January 2023 until 12 May 2024. The cup featured 27 departmental teams across the country vying for the title, which was defended by 2020 champions WAPDA.
