The 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix was a women's volleyball tournament played by 16 countries starting 8 June 2012. The finals were held at the Beilun Sports and Arts Centre in Ningbo, China. [1] [2]

Though FIVB did not officially release or confirm the pool schedule until April 2012, almost all continental divisions posted the pool schedule in December 2011. The original list was released December 19, 2011; [1] three days later on December 22 a new list was released to the public, with 4 minor changes involving Brazil's, Dominican Republic's and Germany's Pools. [5] In April 2012 FIVB confirmed officially the pool schedule that was released December 22, 2011. [6]

The 2005 edition was played by twelve countries from June 24 to July 18, 2005, with the final round held at the Sendai Gymnasium in Sendai, Japan. Hosts Japan and the top five ranked teams after the preliminary rounds qualified for the last round.

The 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix was a women's volleyball tournament to be played by 12 countries from 6–29 August 2010. The finals were held at the Beilun Gymnasium in Ningbo, China. The United States claimed their 3rd title and Foluke Akinradewo won the Most Valuable Player award.

The Group 1 final round was held in Kraków, Poland. After being runners-up on five occasions, Serbia finally claimed their first World League after prevailing over Brazil in straight sets. The defending champions France claimed their first ever bronze medal at the World League after a fast victory in straight sets against Italy. Marko Ivović was elected the most valuable player.
