The 7th Annual Indonesian Movie Awards was held on May 27, 2013, at the Studio 8 RCTI, West Jakarta. The award show was hosted by Choky Sitohang and Tamara Geraldine. [1] And the nominations have been announced for the category of Favorite, which will be chosen by the public via SMS. As for the category of Best, will be selected by a jury that has been appointed. As a guest star who will fill the event, among them Ahmad Dhani, Bebi Romeo, Rossa, Bunga Citra Lestari, 3Composer, and the participants of X Factor Indonesia.

Belenggu leads the nominations with nine nominations, with Rectoverso and Habibie & Ainun followed behind with eight and seven nominations each. In the night ceremonies, Rectoverso and Habibie & Ainun were biggest winner with receiving three awards trophies each. Followed behind by film Belenggu success taking home two awards.

Aminah Cendrakasih received a Lifetime Achievement Award, the first to be awarded by the Indonesian Movie Awards. [2]

Virdy Megananda, known popularly as Bebi Romeo, is an Indonesian musician. He began his career in the mid-1990s as the vocalist of band Bima. Before their disbandment, the band released their only studio album, Sebuah Awal (1996), which featured single "Dua Hati". Bebi achieved his prominence in music scene after forming band Romeo in 1998. The band's most popular hit "Bunga Terakhir" (1999) was composed by Bebi himself. He has released four studio albums as the vocalist of the band.

The 2nd Annual Maya Awards was an award ceremony honoring the best in Indonesian films of 2013. The ceremony was held in Hotel Umaniara De'Brawijaya, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on December 21, 2013.

Aminah Tjendrakasih was an Indonesian actress best known for her appearance as Lela in the television series Si Doel Anak Sekolahan. Beginning her career in her teenage years, Cendrakasih had her first starring role in 1955's Ibu dan Putri. She soared to popularity after taking a role in Serampang 12 along with Nun Zairina in 1956. Cendrakasih acted in more than a hundred feature films; in 2012 and 2013 she received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Bandung Film Festival and the Indonesian Movie Awards.

The 41st Indonesian Film Festival ceremony, presented by Indonesian Film Board and Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, honored the achievement in Indonesian cinema released from 1 October 2020 to 31 August 2021. The ceremony was held on 10 November 2021 at the Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia, and presented by actors Tissa Biani, Prilly Latuconsina, Angga Yunanda and Jefri Nichol. Coinciding with Heroes' Day, President Joko Widodo awarded the Father of Indonesian Cinema, Usmar Ismail posthumously as a National Hero of Indonesia.
