The 35th Indonesian Film Festival ceremony took place on 23 November 2015 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition, South Tangerang, Indonesia, to honor the achievement in Indonesian cinema of 2015. [1] The ceremony was held in tribute to Indonesian director Teguh Karya, therefore it was held in Karya's birth province, Banten. [2] It was broadcast on NET. for the first time and hosted by television presenter Sarah Sechan. [3]
Drama film Siti won the Best Picture, alongside two other awards. It tied with A Copy of My Mind and Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto . Other winners include Filosofi Kopi and The Golden Cane Warrior with two, The Crescent Moon , The Fox Exploits the Tiger's Might, GWK, Mendadak Caleg, Supernova, Tino Sidin Sang Guru Gambar, and Toba Dreams with one. Cinematographer and Karya's frequent collaborator George Kamarullah was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. [4]
The nominations were announced on 12 November 2015 at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta. [5] Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto received the most nominations with eight, followed by A Copy of My Mind and The Crescent Moon with seven. [6]

Herlina Christine Natalia Hakim is an Indonesian actress, film producer, and activist. Born to a devout Muslim family of mixed-race background in Jambi, she grew up in Yogyakarta, aspiring to be an architect or psychologist. This changed after she was discovered by Teguh Karya for his 1973 movie Cinta Pertama, a role which garnered her a Citra Award for Best Actress and convinced her to follow a career in acting. Since then, she has starred in numerous films, including 1977's Badai Pasti Berlalu and 1988's Tjoet Nja' Dhien; she also had a minor role in the 2010 Hollywood movie Eat Pray Love. As of 2011, she has won six Citra Awards, received a lifetime achievement award from the Cinemanila International Film Festival, and served as a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival.

The screenplay was written by Ari Syarif dan Erik Supit from a story by Syarif, Supit, Sabrang Mowo Damar Panuluh, Nugroho, and Kemal Pasha Hidayat. It portrays the life of Indonesian nationalist Tjokroaminoto. It stars Reza Rahadian as the titular role.
